Awesome Leo, Thanks.
How does the user change his password? I do not see the customary bar at the bottom or any link to take the customer to his profile to change his password.
I was thinking about adding the link into the text for the welcome email. That way they could just click the link and change the password when they viewed the welcome email.

October 22, 2013 at 2:14 am #5063I have looked around and hopefully I have not missed it but,
When a purchase is made the email that goes out to the customer, the email to the seller, the customer file management area, nor the Cart Manager identifies the license the image was sold under. The emails show the price of the image and then the total cost of the image with the upgraded license but does not identify why the total cost was higher than the image price.
Image of the email that goes to the seller:

Thanks a lot.
No problem at all 🙂
Sometimes it is a little hard to find stuff with all the threads.
Leo, it would be cool if there was a sticky at the top of the development forum that had all the links in one place for the different versions and their download links.

October 21, 2013 at 5:42 pm #5596Just an FYI from my experience.
I did use Slideshow in the begining but not anymore. For width I used 1170 px and not sure about the height but I think 300 px.
I use LayerSlider WP. It is $15 but really like the feature for adding multiple layers in the slideshow. I was adding text in Photoshop like you want to do but everytime I wanted to change the text it was a hassle. With LayerSlider I am able to change the text on the fly from the plugin. I create layer 1 with the image and layer 2 as a text layer. I can have several layers.

For the people who don’t get the update notifications (because they’re still on 2.6.5), where can we download the current version of the Symbiostock theme?

From another thread: I think it’s important to allow customers to choose their own password to sign up and log in.

October 18, 2013 at 1:41 pm #5001Leo,
I noticed when I viewed my site on an iPad or other mobile devices the image list was all vertical and aligned on the left. Even though there is plenty of space to align 3 or 4 images horizontal. Is this the way it is suppose to work? I was thinking with responsive feastures it would put as many as it could horizontal and then move the images down as your screen got smaller.Hope I am making sense 🙂

Still tweaking a little but it did not take long to get it pretty much the way I wanted it.
Your site looks great, Tim. Very impressive!
Thank you very much Martha, appreciate the compliment. I really love this new version of the theme.
October 18, 2013 at 12:20 am #5306Cool, thanks. I will do some testing with it. I did not know if the upgrade deactivated it for a reason.
October 18, 2013 at 12:15 am #5313What if the app was able to interact with all symbiostock sites and use single sign on. Just thinking out loud here, but when the app is installed use a method to auto register the user on any networked symbiostock site they connect to for a purchase.

If you are using wordfence you can look and see
I saw some reports of it not working properly with the new theme and decided to avoid complications on the start up. Should I install it now?
Jo
I am running Wordfence on version 2.8.2 and have not seen any issues. I have tested registering, purchasing, uploading, and processing and have not seen any conflicts with Wordfence yet.

I currently have the following configuration:
Symbiostock 2.6.5
Child theme 0.1.0
Pro plugin
Sitemap plugin
Syxtra pluginIs there anything specific I need to know to upgrade or just do it the same as always? I recall seeing there were some Syxtra conflicts. Should I deactivate that before upgrading?
I just updated mine today from exactly what you have. I did forget to deactivate Syxtra and it caused me a little time trying to figure out why things were not aligning right. I also had done some customization to my site which caused issues so I started over. Here is what made mine go smooth.
1. Activated another theme such as Twenty-Twelve.
2. Renamed both symbiostock and symbiostock-child folders
3. Installed new version of Symbiostock fresh and activated.
4. Installed fresh new symbiostock-child theme and activated it.
5. Started playing with customizations built into 2.8.2 and set to my liking.I do not think I missed anything. It really was pretty easy when I got out of my own way. Of course all my image files, my slider, my menu, my licenses, and all the important stuff was in tact and I just had to get everything setup cosmetically like I liked it. Still tweaking a little but it did not take long to get it pretty much the way I wanted it.
October 17, 2013 at 1:43 am #5226aaaahhh man!!!!!!! I just got up and running on 2.8.1 a couple hours ago, you got to quit giving us these cool things 😉 😀
Just joking 🙂 that is awesome, will have to take a look at those soon
Thanks Leo
October 17, 2013 at 1:14 am #5154After setting up my site it would be cool to be able to either show or hide the different elements of the Home Page generator in version 2.8.1.
For example we might want to hide the content-area/author row just below the slider moving the 3 CTA’s just below the slider as I did on my site. Someone might like that row but hide the 3 CTA’s bringing the featured images and latest images up on the page.
Just a thought 🙂
Thanks
