I’m using the home page generator in Appearance/Home page . I’ve installed Dragonfly 0.1.0 over Symbiostock 2.9.4
As you can see from my site I removed that entire row right under the slider which moved the three CTA’s right up under the slider.
November 5, 2013 at 3:13 pm #6979Are you using the Symbiostock Home Page Generator?
If so, then the only way to remove it is to edit the home page php file. There are no options yet to hide it. I have asked for the ability to hide or show individual components of the home page when using the Symbiostock Home Page Generator but not sure when or if it would be implemented.

Thats what I have been doing but couldnt get the thing alligned. I will look at that again tonight. Thanks Man, appreciate it.
I was just using the padding at the end to move it around. going left to right the numbers for the padding is top, right, bottom, left. It goes clockwise starting at 12:00. Make sure you use “px” after the number. It was not working for me without it.

A question of a facebook newbie. Yesterday I tried to write a nice comment on the new Symbiostock fb site but there was no avatar next to my comment. But i have a profil picture on my own fb site (same as here on the forum). Do I have to upload a second avatar/profile picture for comments? And where can I do it?
I’m pretty sure you can only comment as an individual on Facebook, not as a company. So your photo would come up if you had a personal Facebook page. My comments will come up as the Symbio logo only because I started the Symbio page.
Yea, that is one of the reasons I created a completely new Facebook presence for Tdahl Stock Photography and do not use my personal FB Account. I created a personal account specifically for my stock photography and tied it to my business page I created. Plus it keeps my personal account separate.

YES !!!!!!!!!! Thats it, I couldnt get that perfect allignment !!
Love it, how did you do that? If that works on my site, I will pay up the 30 dollar. 🙂
Do not worry about the 30 dollars. Depending on the size of the logo here is the process.
1. Upload the logo you want to use (the header menu is 50px tall)
2. Create a custom Link and add it to the menu. you will have to give it a temporary link
to get it to be added. Then delete the URL as in the picture below unless you have a url you want to use.
3. In the navigation label add the below code but change the url to point to your logo you uploaded.That’s all you have to do. Depending on the size of the logo you may have to play with the padding numbers at the end. For example below is the code for the larger logo.
Here is the image for my setup

I am not going to explain for a 25th time why I am not using a child theme. All I want is the code or the solution to have a logo in my header. Let me worry about the rest. 🙂
Is this what you are looking for?

I took a look at your site and it is awesome! The menu items like Home, Images and Policies are neatly lined-up next to each other.
I would like to arrange the menus similarly, in my site. At present, they are one below the other, vertically.
Please give the steps to arrange the menu items, and the login / register button, the way they are in your site.
Thank you in advance for your help.
The Menus were like that by default. I did nothing to them to get that layout. Not sure why yours are doing that. My settings for my menus are the following;
Appearance->Customize->Symbiostock Nav Menus
Main/Nav Menu Style: Basic
Menu Location: Under Header
Search/Account Menu Style: Basic
Search/Account Menu Fill: Basic
Separate – Search/Account Menu: No
Show “Image/Blog” search option: NoOctober 31, 2013 at 2:07 pm #6588I had to edit the page-home0.php file. Not sure why yours would be different than mine. Also, I am not a programmer and can guess that may be the right section to remove. I edited my php file through guessing and trial and error. 🙂
I did it in a child-theme though. I activated the child theme and then all changes are made there. I copied my page-home0.php file into my child theme directory and edited it. That way theme updates won’t overwrite your changes.

I don’t understand why you would want to remove the CTA boxes. If you simply don’t use them (with content), they shouldn’t appear on your site.
The home page generator puts them there whether you use them or not. It is kind of like a canned home page and all you have to do is fill in the information.
Edit: I have made suggestions to have different options choosable for the home page generator.

I wish to remove the three call to action (CTA) boxes on the home page. Please help on how to go about this.
If you are using the Symbiostock Home Page Generator with the latest base theme the only way to get rid of the three CTA’s is to edit the home page php file directly. There are no options to display them or not.
The other option is to choose a different home page.
October 30, 2013 at 12:01 am #6477Thanks All. Like you say, not sure if there is any demand for stuff like this but won’t hurt to have an artistic category and see what happens. Who knows!!! 🙂
I have been hammering away at my Symbiostock site and just decided to take a break and play with this stuff the last couple of days and just have fun. I need the break.

You never know someone might want a stylised image, not likely but possible . If you want to put it on line why not do what I have done with this image so a licensee would know what to expect http://kerioakimaging.com/image/painting-solo-polo/
Good idea on images such as these. I just joined Fine Art America and was thinking about putting images such as these on there just as a test and see what happens. There are a couple images I have on my Symbiostock site that I have on my FAA site and put a link in the description such as this image;

October 29, 2013 at 4:19 pm #6472Yea, this was one of those pictures I chose to just try stuff on to see how different tools altered the image. I can then start seeing images and automatically know what might enhance an image or not.
Thanks for everyone’s input 🙂
