Can you explain how you have put your own logo into the top of the page.

yes, i went to the media library and uploaded my test header, then chose the header from my uploaded images, save changes……

Did you replace the default Symbiostock logo in the Symbiostock, Settings area
or
Create a Header and include it in the header?

i think i just made a header

You can create a blank or pictorial header, do not put your logo into it.
Your logo – .png should have the url address added in Symbiostock, Settings and this will overlay the header

how do i do that?

good morning Christine, Karen and JoAnn
thank you all, i have now activated the ‘network’ and can now see what JoAnn posted in her picture above, i removed my header image and refreshed, then uploaded again and refreshed etc and it is still showing the symbiostock title, there must be a step i am missing?

thank you klsbear, i went to Users – Your Profile , scrolled down and all i can see is :
Wordpress SEO Settings
Title to use for author page
Meta Description to use for author page
and at the bottom is a blue button which says Update Profile

hiya
the next part, Appearance: Initial Menu Setup
i didnt get anywhere with it, it seemed like i had a different web page to the tutorial one
i didnt know what the header was or where the navigation bar was
……. or the long list of links, i made a page called cart but couldnt see it anywhere, gave up with the contact form i dont know where it is, never found the plus sign, named a menu ‘above header’ but i dont know what it means i’ll try some more tomorrow, i would be grateful for any picture tutorials or anything!

me and Wendy (we are both starting out) would like to ask about these 2 plugins:
This theme recommends the following plugins: SYMBIOSTOCK – Image Sitemap and SYMBIOSTOCK -Premium Upgrade.
they werent available yesterday but today they are, can i customise my site without these plugins for now?

Followed the Tutorial: Getting Started by Christine. Symbiostock installed and activated , then Symbiostock Dragonfly installed and activated, also activated 2 plugins and so far its a breeze. Great Tutorial, thanks to Christine.

so i emailed Blue Host and asked them please install WordPress for me and they did step one complete!

yes, i can tell you my progress so far, i have the Blue Host personal account and i unticked all the other boxes. I opted for the ‘personal’ account rather than business account because the business account asked for a VAT number, and i have no clue about that. Total cost is $170.64 for 36 months.
As for installing WordPress, i followed the Blue Host YouTube videos 1 – 7 and i am stuck already! will let you know
