Great – that worked, thanks Henri
September 10, 2015 at 12:51 am #24005Yes, I have done that – it was more a question of removing the descriptions from my own search results rather than the ones that appear because of the Symzio widget.
September 10, 2015 at 12:49 am #24004Great, this works for me as well. I changed the hue to make it a bit bluer, but it fits in very nicely for my location based shots: http://www.backyardstockphotos.com/image/view-of-southern-alps-new-zealand-12/
Thanks, Henri!
September 10, 2015 at 12:36 am #2400215 UK pounds – they recommended that after they saw the quality of my work (-;
I understand that they are about to introduce some RF pricing which will be a multiple of this one use price, and are also going to introduce editorial shots. Hence my uploads were only commercial RF stuff – I’ve kept back things that I only have as RM elsewhere so that all my images can be transitioned into this new licence category, and I can upload my editorial work when they are ready for that.

September 10, 2015 at 12:32 am #24001I followed this and now have the search bar for Symzio in a column down the right hand side of the page. Is it possible to make it appear horizontal along the bottom instead using the settings in Symbiostock Express? It looks fine when I have results: http://www.backyardstockphotos.com/?s=beach
But not so good when I don’t have search results: http://www.backyardstockphotos.com/?s=finland
I’m sure there is a setting for this, but can I remove the descriptions from my own results in the search page and alter how many appear on a page?

September 10, 2015 at 12:00 am #23999I’ve just joined them over the weekend. Some people were a bit worried about the low opacity watermark, but I decided to ignore that. They were very easy to work with and I have uploaded about 7500 RF shots that go into their pseudo RM type license where there is only one usage allowed. You set your own price. No sales so far, although I am not sure how long it takes for my images to go live.

September 9, 2015 at 6:59 am #23985They are all the original images I uploaded – I’ve added nothing since Version 2. So I’ll wait and see. No biggy though. What would be interesting to think about is a world map showing all the location of my images and an ability to zoom into a specific area and then see which images have been taken there and then select and buy one! The Lightroom map module does that, but it does sound quite complex!
Just something to dream about for version 3….

September 9, 2015 at 6:57 am #23984I’m the same – I wrote a blog post about how I backup my Symbio site:
http://www.backyardsilver.com/2015/08/how-to-backup-your-symbiostock-photo-agency-website/
Once they are on my hard drive, I also back them up to Google Drive and to a second hard drive, so I’m triply protected. But as Robin says, I have never felt the need to look at the ss_media folder on my web server.

September 9, 2015 at 6:36 am #23979I have the GPS coordinates in some of my images from Lightroom, but my maps just give a very broad overview of the area. Although when I checked just now, no map appeared at all for images that should have these coordinates. It just seems to be a few images that show this broad overview:
http://www.backyardstockphotos.com/image/view-of-southern-alps-new-zealand-12/
Many of the similar images on that page were all coded with the map coords, and exported and uploaded at the same time, but they don’t show the map.

September 9, 2015 at 4:38 am #23975How do you cause the resaving of all the thumbnails with this new SEO information? I see the setting “Sync thumbnails to titles” and it is selected, but what causes the retro renaming?

September 9, 2015 at 4:25 am #23974Hi Frank
I can’t find out where to put that widget either to make the images appear on a product page only. If you find out, let me know!

September 9, 2015 at 12:19 am #23969It was a problem with my server – the extensions have been reinstalled. All is good

September 8, 2015 at 11:26 pm #23966Of course – the plugin for Importer/Exporter! I was looking for an option within the settings page to disable that.
Thanks
September 8, 2015 at 7:53 am #23938I agree, they are renamed, but I have never had to refer to any specific image on the server to manage them. I’m missing the issue you see in not being able to directly manage the image files in the folder structure rather than via the admin page and media management area of the plugin?

September 8, 2015 at 7:35 am #23934Hi Tobias
I’ve currently got 5300 images live on my site. I manage all my files in Lightroom, so I know what I have uploaded and what is still to upload via collections. I then upload the chosen images by FTP and add categories to them in Symbiostock. I never need to look at the actual ss_media folder as I can search for an image using its keywords and do whatever edits I want to those in the Media section.
I’m not sure why you would want a folder structure in that folder?
