No problem…scheduled for tomorrow morning.
February 8, 2014 at 7:39 pm #9353If you had meant to include yourself in “you people,” you would have said “WE.” You made it very clear who “you people” were, thanks to “the recent crap on the forum.”
February 8, 2014 at 3:27 pm #9349It’s especially bad when someone points the “you people” or “a bunch of whiners” (on MSG) finger at several people who’ve been doing a lot of pitching in and promoting and helping out, but agreed with one suggestion they thought would be helpful for *everyone.* Martha in particular has been a huge cheerleader and incredibly helpful on the forums, and she hires people from within the Symbiostock network and pays them for their work.
I don’t see Symbiostock as an agent or an agency, and I don’t expect Leo to hand me buyers. Just the opposite—I (and some other very nice people who’ve chipped in with money, time and expertise) have gone out of my way to try to attract buyers to the network as a whole, not just to my own site.
Now feel I was incredibly stupid to try to promote Symbiostock.
And I definitely feel that my opinions are not welcome here, especially after the thread was deleted.
February 5, 2014 at 5:37 pm #2105Congrats.

I am guessing that is good? Means people are looking at more than one page of your site or is it when we visit our own sites?
I’m guessing it’s when we include links to our own site on our site. For example, I now include copy on each image page that sends people to similar images on my site. I also have links to other sites in my blog, which I guess means I give them referrals. People sure are clicking on them, according to my Jetpack stats.
I’m guessing that’s why Leo’s site has referrals from others as well.
February 5, 2014 at 11:39 am #9279Same here. Can’t give the home page a title.
February 5, 2014 at 11:21 am #9327Same here…sending myself referrals.
February 4, 2014 at 6:34 pm #9199I think the Symbiostock idea is really newsworthy. A great thing would be to get a really popular blogger in the design field to write us up, or to get some press in the trade pubs. Unfortunately I’m not in PR, so I have no idea how to go about doing that. But if someone knows a popular blogger, I can write something up to submit to them.
February 4, 2014 at 4:23 pm #9317I have the plugin, but it stopped working when I upgraded my version of Symbiostock several weeks ago, and it still isn’t working with the latest upgrade. Can’t figure out what the problem is.

February 2, 2014 at 3:44 pm #8949To put all these great tips in one place, I wrote a quick blog post about getting green with Yoast, networking and using promoted keywords:

what promoted keywords are most useful?
– Can’t opine once I have no idea what are promoted keywords. :0)I wasn’t sure either. Apparently if you “promote” keywords relevant to your images, your site will show up in searches for those keywords on other sites in the network, even if you’re not directly linked to them. This is why some of us have 13 or 14 sites coming up in some searches even though we’re only linked to a maximum of 10—those extra sites are using “promoted keywords” that are showing up in our results.
In your WP dashboard, to go “Symbiostock” and scroll down; you’ll see a box where you can input promoted keywords. You can add up to 40. I’ve been adding more since (Cascoly? I believe?) explained the significance to me.
February 2, 2014 at 11:54 am #9191I’ll give it a try. Thanks for organizing all this info here. Very helpful!
February 2, 2014 at 1:54 am #9170Hmmmm….my site’s not showing up.
