Awesome!!! 🙂
October 23, 2013 at 12:32 pm #5727Ah yes…I finally did get the email, with a long and impossible to remember password. I agree with others….customers must be able to set their own password at registration. Though at least now they can shop right away while waiting for their complicated password. 🙂
And I would like to reiterate how much I appreciate all the hard work everyone is doing on Symbiostock.
October 23, 2013 at 11:45 am #5720I don’t understand. I updated and signed up as a new user. I still got a pop up window that says a password will be emailed to me, but I get no email and no password…instead I’m taken to the cart area. If I sign out I cannot sign in again because I have no password. Very confused.

Does anyone have a Facebook like button on their site? Can you explain how to add one?
I use the JetPack Likes function.
When you click on the configure, it will take you to the page to connect to your FB page and how you want the like to appear.
You can setup the Share function also to allow clients to share your pages.
I have both setup on my page if you want to take a look, just scroll down my home page at the bottom of text.
For some reason the Like button does not always load properly, but it is not consistant.
Have fun.
Thanks. I actually tried the jetpack thing a while back, but for some reason it will not recognize my business pages and will only allow a button to like my personal page.
I’ll check out the plugin Leo suggested as well.
Thanks!

Okay. I think the slider is back to normal again. Sure do hope so!
Please give me feedback on the loading speed on your browsers and any other issues you see.
Thanks, Shelma, for the info on that menu bar. Glad that’s better now.
Beautiful. Love the beach shot. Wish I was there!
October 22, 2013 at 2:47 pm #5751New header looks great. Now your slideshow shows up in full. Once you get it working, it’ll be fabulous!
October 22, 2013 at 2:37 pm #2330Be careful with music…don’t violate copyrights. We’ve used shockwave-sound.com for stock music for a few smaller projects, but I’d check with them about YouTube usage.
October 22, 2013 at 2:33 pm #2329Good idea. I have a bunch of subscribers on YouTube. A fun new project for me!
October 22, 2013 at 11:27 am #5744Hi Martha,
Love the slideshow. One minor suggestion I would make is shortening the header categories a bit so they all fit on one line. On my iPad, at least, that would move your slideshow up a bit so it’s “above the fold.” Right now I have to scroll down or your photography is cut off.
Great job!
October 21, 2013 at 5:46 pm #5597I was wondering how you incorporated moving text. Very cool.
October 21, 2013 at 5:41 pm #5595My front page has slideshow. When you set it up, you can choose how wide you’d like the slideshow to be. So i’d make it a bit wider than you need, because you can constrain it afterwards. Not sure if theres’s a max number of slides, but you have to assume most people won’t want to stay on the page for more than a few. I added my text in the visual itself…not sure if you can do otherwise, and that gives you more placement and font flexibility, IMO. It’s very easy to use.
October 21, 2013 at 2:46 pm #5564If you have an eps file of your logo and tell me what you want, I can add the text for you and output at the proper size.
P.S. I had to answer three questions to post this? Really?
October 21, 2013 at 12:05 pm #4160It’s especially important because the Symbiostock network will quickly become unwieldy for buyers if they need to receive an email and different password for every Symbiostock site, when they can choose their one password and shop thousands of ports at the micro agencies.
October 21, 2013 at 11:23 am #4158From another thread: I think it’s important to allow customers to choose their own password to sign up and log in.
