October 25, 2013 at 1:14 pm #6141Hey gang, there has been a lot of talk about the magnifier or zoom and I am not sure what the latest is on this.
I am all for this feature, can anyone update me on where we are with this?
Beers on me. Cheers.

I dont know but my indexing has stopped as well. I had like 1007 images indexed out of 1061 and then it fell back to 993 and stayed there for the last week. No idea why that is, but the last 5% is not being indexed.
If you have similar photos with similar caption and keywords, google would index only 1. This is according to my experience
All titles and descriptions are unique, but not by much. I dont have any exact duplicates, I did that to improve SEO.
But I messed it all up anyways when I started renaming site maps. LOL
October 25, 2013 at 10:13 am #6010No worries, Yoast has never caused me any issues, but YMMV 🙂 good luck

So I’m able to start working on my site again after a bit of an enforced break and I’ve tried to go from 2.6.5 to 2.9.3 but it won’t install. I get this error message —
Warning: Missing argument 3 for wpseo_upgrader_process_complete() in /myserverspace/public_html/stockphotology/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-seo/inc/wpseo-non-ajax-functions.php on line 259
I’m guessing that whilst I’ve been away, there’s something I’ve missed – some plugin or interim upgrade that’s needed for this to work.
Any pointers please?
ETA – upgraded to WP 3.7 earlier.
Russel, welcome back mate. I think best is to activate another theme, like twentytwelve or so, and then go into FTP and delete the symbiostock folder in the theme directory of WP. Once the folder is deleted upload the latest version of Symbiostock and activate the theme. That should work. But before you do all of this, deactivate the Symbiostock email and notifications plugin and delete it. You will be prompted to reinstall it on 2.9.2

So with 2.8.9 the client clicks the ‘Purchase’ button and then immediately goes to PayPal without registration on my site.
Is that correct?
No, they need to register, its necessary for the cart to work.
October 25, 2013 at 7:22 am #6111Ok, that much, I discounted 25-50%. I will redo my pricing.

I agree with others. Make the WP version fool proof and then take a long well deserved vacation before even thinking about more projects. We all want to keep you alive.

… Yes, the “password will be sent to you” should be removed.
I noticed that when I tested a new user registration (which worked perfectly BTW) and I like the notion that you have a reminder of your password to save away. Some sites do that, and although there is some security risk, this isn’t a bank account or national security, so I don’t think there’s a problem.
Perhaps change the text to say “A confirmation e-mail will be sent with your user name and password.”?
If Leo doesn’t want to change it, I might do it just on my site – the line is here in register_symbiostock.php
else {echo ‘
*A password will be emailed to you.
‘;} ?>
+10000 thanks, I will change the text a bit.
October 24, 2013 at 11:52 pm #6110How do you price your collections? What is the best approach to selling a collection?
I am not sure how big the discount must be for a collection to make sense. Example, I have a meatball collection of 11 images, but who needs 11 images? The largest size image is discounted by 2.5 images so to speak. So only of a buyer needs more than 8 images its cheaper to buy a collection.
I am thinking I need to discount a lot more then I currently do.
October 24, 2013 at 11:42 pm #6007Loads of sites send you a registration conformation email, lets not get carried away. Leo, awesome job. Its fine as is.
