You have to click “update prices” and “update licenses” when you edit a license to have the processor make the changes. It will do so systematically.

The prices auto-update via the processor if a license is successfully added to a product – so if it isn’t updating, it is likely your processor is not running every minute.

If you don’t have that many buyout license sales, you could manually do this as it would be reasonably easy to change the content of the product, or remove it from the store altogether.

Well, you can have buyout licenses, but automating all these processes would require custom functionality. It’s actually nothing to do really with Symbiostock and more to do with WooCommerce. You would need someone to program a hook that would tap into the purchase process, and basically if the license type is a buyout one, then they would run all those commands, such as changing the new owner information, checking if it had been purchased before, etc.

A bit complex but do-able. Outside the scope of the support here, I’m afraid.

Hi there – your processor will automatically add the licenses to all the products it applies to once you click on the “update prices” and “update licenses” checkbox in the edit license page.

This would require custom jQuery functions to basically move that field after the page loads. It is certainly possible but requires custom code, and is not that easy if you do not know how to code in jQuery.

Hi there – it processing 1 image a minute is normal and intended. You can change this value by editing the code, but it is not recommended as most servers operate optimally this way. That allows for over a thousand images to be processed in one day, so it adds up quickly.

    Hi Eduardo,

If you are going to operate without standard licenses because each photo has a distinct value that you want to set, you have a few options:

    1) Add a keyword filter to your normal licenses called ‘custom’ or something along those lines, and ensure that it is set to exclude that media. Then, when you add an image where you want unique licensing, you add the keyword ‘custom’ to it, create new licenses for it after it is uploaded, then publish. (not recommended)

    2) Add a keyword filter to your normal licenses and call it ‘prime1’ or something along those lines and ensure it is set to exclude that media. Then, create another license that is your more expensive license, and add a keyword filter to include ‘prime1’. Do the same for ‘prime2’ and ‘prime3’ and so on. This allows you to create multiple ‘license tiers’ that you can fit different images into, allowing you to set their licensing based on one simple keyword. By doing this, you can globally increase or decrease pricing of these different tiers. Otherwise, you will literally have to go into every individual product and manually change every custom license that you made for that one product, which sounds like a nightmare. The downside of this, is that you now have tiers, which means you will have less ability to set any price to each image, and instead will have to choose the tier it fits into. However, I think this is the better solution. (recommended).

Hi Eduardo – when you say different value, do you mean each new photo will have different prices? So each photo will have its own associated cost?

Hi there – this is all very theme dependent and so you might want to shop for a good theme for your store. A WooCommerce theme would work well.

Hi Garry – that’s a good question, and it’s a weird thing in both WooCommerce and WordPress. The back end edit feature is dictated by WooCommerce, so your best option is to look for a bulk tag edit tool for WooCommerce specifically that will allow you to accomplish what you want. Symbiostock has nothing to do with this unfortunately.

Hi Chris – thanks for pointing this out. We will look into it based on this notice you’ve shared.

Notifications and warnings that do not hinder the software is irrelevant. You should not have error reporting enabled on a live site anyways. Just disable it in your WordPress settings and you should be good to go.

    Hi Thomas,

The software works with WordPress 5.2.4, and works with the WooCommerce version as indicated within Symbiostock. We do not update software simply for the sake of it, and the stability of the current version with the WooCommerce version indicated works very well for hundreds of websites.

If you feel there are offerings the new WooCommerce has that our compatible version is lacking, please let us know and we will consider going through the process of making Symbiostock compatible with the newest version of Symbiostock.

    Thanks.
