There is no easy way to re-read metadata upon uploading to a file that already exists as WooCommerce and WordPress have a variety of internal mechanisms that take place once a product is created. Even Symbiostock renames thumbnails for SEO purposes. But most importantly, there is no way for Symbiostock to know the file you are uploading is linked to an existing file unless you follow the instructions on the edit product page to upload an image that will be used to replace the current one. In that capacity, you can do it, but it won’t update metadata unfortunately.
This is a mechanism we might add in the future, but at the current time, all metadata writing and reading is done through Symbiostock, and metadata is imported only during the initial product creation phase.
Hi Richard – unfortunately we have no idea what the issue is as Symbiostock has absolutely nothing to do with password protected categories or products.

As I said, Symbiostock and its processor has nothing to do with this. I have no idea why there would be a delay in the password updating other than cache.
Hi there – sorry for the delay. We have rectified the bug with Symbiostock Express checking the Anytype file existence and are updating the theme and plugin shortly. You should be able to update them soon.

Hi there – this would not have anything to do with Symbiostock at all, however it could have to do with your WordPress install, or something else.

This is a good idea, and perhaps a special license option could offer this. It isn’t something we are looking to add immediately, but will keep it in mind for future updates. Thanks!

Symbiostock Vendors works hand in hand with WooCommerce Product Vendors which comes with it for free. You can see some documentation on it here:

It would also work with other software, but it is possible some custom work may be required for integration.

If WooCommerce is losing the link, then this is a limitation of WooCommerce, not Symbiostock. Unfortunately WooCommerce now checks to make sure your digital download is present on the server and this poses a significant number of issues when trying to customize these features.
A fix is possible but it would likely require custom work.
Hi Paolo – as long as PHP is running, there should be no difference what platform is providing it. However, as they are different systems, they may need to be configured uniquely for all features to work. We don’t provide server setup support however as that is outside the scope of the software support.

Yes, but again, this is a system related question – you would need to do this at the operating system level.
