Then why haven’t you joined the community yet?
September 18, 2013 at 2:33 am #2864You might want to try a temporary fix. Take Christine’s website off your networking partners list and the re-activate the Syxtra plugin. I believe Christine’s domain has changed and that’s causing trouble in combination with the Syxtra plugin. But I’m checking this on my iPhone so I’m very limited at giving advice.
September 18, 2013 at 2:00 am #2638Bumping it up. Still hoping for an alternative solution than re-editing 1500 images.
September 18, 2013 at 1:56 am #2862Try to deactivate the Syxtra plugin and see if that helps.
September 17, 2013 at 5:02 pm #2816The search will work out of the box but you can configure the settings at Symbiostock -> Settings.
September 17, 2013 at 4:59 pm #2826My site at BH was just as slow as yours without the Premium plugin and even without throttling. You can check the “throttling status” (what a BS) at https://my.bluehost.com/cgi/cpu_status .
I said it before, I think BH is not a good choice to base an online business on.

Tested from Dallas, Texas, USA on September 17 at 10:51:14
Page size
2.4MB
Load time
3.03s

Perf. grade
63/100
Your website is faster than 52% of all tested websitesKeep in mind that this test was initiated from Texas and the actual web server is in Germany.
Also, the slideshow is rather large and slows the page significantly down.September 17, 2013 at 11:57 am #2777@shelma1 wrote:
I think the online instructions need to be reworked, and things need to be brought under one URL, if possible. Just the fact that there’s Symbiostock.com, .org, .net, symbiostockguides.com, etc. is very confusing.
I completely agree. In my humble opinion, Symbistock.com should be the one center featuring/hosting an image search engine, download and installation of SYS, tutorials, the forum, marketing and more.
To toggle back and forth between several Sybiostock sites and also between Bluehost and WordPress is very difficult to manage.
Once your site is properly set up on your host’s side, there will be no toggling anymore.
September 16, 2013 at 10:24 pm #2573Very nice summary.
Personally, I don’t really see stock agencies as direct competitors. I would probably not even mention them. Other than that, very well done.September 16, 2013 at 9:09 pm #2570BTW, at https://my.bluehost.com/cgi-bin/password you can also create a Control Panel password in case you’d like to grant someone access to the technical part but not to the financial information of your BH account.
September 16, 2013 at 9:05 pm #2569When you’re in your Bluehost CPanel click on “Domains”, pick your domain and click “Assign”. Then point it to the directory of your WP installation.
Like I said, I if you want to send me your login credentials, I can take a look at it.
September 16, 2013 at 8:37 pm #2567If you ordered your new domain via Bluehost, you need to direct it to your WordPress installation directory. That’s being done in your Bluehost Control Panel -> Domains.
Like I said, if you think you get stuck, we’re here to help.

Try adding (or changing) your php.ini to include the following (your php.ini will often be found in public.html)

max_execution_time = 30 ; Maximum execution time of each script, in seconds
max_input_time = 60 ; Maximum amount of time each script may spend parsing request data
memory_limit = 64M ; Maximum amount of memory a script may consume (16MB)
upload_max_filesize = 30M
post_max_size = 10MI think there’s something wrong and the limit might not be high enough.
1. You have memory_limit set twice.
2. I suggest set it only once to either 128M or 256M.
3. upload_max_file_size: I suggest 60M
4. post_max_size: I suggest 60MSeptember 16, 2013 at 4:25 pm #2788I’ve been doing the social media for quite some time for my businesses. As for the stock part, I can’t recall that I ever licensed a stock image because of social media efforts.
That doesn’t mean that social media is completely useless for stock. I use Facebook very successful to get models for my shoots.
I’m just saying you should set priorities to do the things that make sense and to leave the ones that don’t.

Thanks, Leo. Well, I just checked with godaddy, and my domain is locked from forwarding for two months because it’s new. So I’d have to spend more $ on another domain name at Bluehost. Sux.
No, you don’t.
Set up your site on the Bluehost space and simply point your domain from godaddy to your Bluehost site. You should have a weird domain at bluehost already. Just point your real domain at godaddy to this one.
It would have been easier to have both, domain and space, at Bluehost but that doesn’t mean you can’t have domain and space separated.
