Hmm, I can see the Symzio widget working on your site http://www.dutchreflex.nl . However your footer still mentions “Stock image and networking platform SYMBIOSTOCK, by the maker of ClipArtIllustration.com “.
Also, when I click on one of your images (http://www.dutchreflex.nl/image/stock-image-by-pics-xl-110/) it takes me to the old Symbiostock theme product page.
Have you maybe installed the new plugin on the old theme? Can’t do that.
October 13, 2015 at 12:21 am #24310It seems like you’re still using the old Symbiostock theme by Leo. That won’t work with Symzio. You need to migrate to the new Symbiostock plugin if you want to participate in the Symzio network.
October 10, 2015 at 12:09 am #24291OK, got it.
Still a couple of notes though.
1. If you offer niche images, maybe of your own hometown, then the Symzio widget will display your own images (probably because nobody else on Symzio has any images of your hometown). That beats the purpose IMO.
2. It mostly seems be a one-way-service. The site owners of the Symzio images I clicked on my product pages obviously don’t return the favor of implementing this networking tool. In fact I didn’t find a single website that would display a Symzio widget on a product page (where it makes most sense). Not sure that this is very motivating.
October 9, 2015 at 12:13 am #24279As I mentioned, I’m using a theme I’ve purchased. I don’t think anybody else is going to install an additional theme that needs to be paid for.
Are you using a self hosted WP or are you on the Symbiostock Plus?
If you’re using a self hosted WP you can find several plugins.
October 9, 2015 at 12:05 am #24278I haven’t really understood the purpose of the Symzio widget yet. It looks to me like a few random images from Symzio contributors are being displayed. Is there anything more to it?
October 7, 2015 at 7:31 am #24260Since you’re referring to my site, this was part of the theme I’m using. But there are several third party plugins that can achieve the same, I’m sure. Just do a search for “WordPress social sharing plugins” and you’ll find many available options.
October 6, 2015 at 1:28 am #24217Very nice site. Welcome!
October 3, 2015 at 6:30 am #24192I think it’s a great idea.

September 24, 2015 at 4:23 am #24141OK, that’s good and useful information. Thanks.
September 24, 2015 at 4:20 am #24140Yes, it’s connected now. Thanks.
September 23, 2015 at 8:22 am #24131You’re right, it worked fine when testing on the front end. Thanks for pointing that out.
September 22, 2015 at 9:27 pm #24126I’m using Safari.
However, when I test, I do it on the backend (Edit Image -> Download File). Maybe there’s a difference between frontend and backend naming?
September 22, 2015 at 9:17 pm #24125Thanks. Looking forward to using this new system.
I have to say, from the photographer and website owner perspective, I like it much better than the old Symbiostock theme.
