my idea was for timesaving only to categorise the media before uploading. For the moment i also set categories by the bulk-edit on the website and this works definitely. i think its on yours to search for the bug – lean back be careful. there are bigger topics in selling digital media 😉
November 27, 2017 at 10:42 pm #31703with Adobe Bridge CC2017 you can set your cat-names with the supplemental-category – filed. Symbiostock can read this and will fill your media correctly on the website. unfortunately in CC2018-Bridge the supplemental-category feature is not longer available. for the mass editing is the exiftool the only one i know – but it’s not very handy.
November 27, 2017 at 10:36 pm #31702this is a simple woocommerce/wordpress topic. .. are your images already published? .. are the images searchable? is the category path shown on product pages? .. how are the category pages linked? .. you can format them like “product-category/cat1+cat2/”
August 19, 2017 at 3:29 am #31292You also can try to switch off “Personalize Interface” in Symbiostock settings. Now the Tag-Entry in the symbiostock/Media Menu should appear where you have direct access to all keywords.
August 8, 2017 at 9:04 am #31201i found my bug: i have to upload the new file to original ss_media folder, not to the upload folder, like it is described. (& my zip-license was an site 2 at the end of the list) –> so with Zip-Archive all worked fine after upating the licences and now i can sell After Effects Sources too 🙂
But i have an addidtional question: i tested the alternate download also with a smaller video-license. My problem: the new video format/license is not shown in the correct resolution and i dint found a way to change that. (https://hebstreits.com/product/trier-main-market-animation/)
Do you think there is a way to give the Arbitate download media an own resolution number like media output width and height for videos?
May 22, 2017 at 4:58 pm #29972ok Robin, thats right … i found the safe mode for the Plugin and i could deactivate all snippets. The installation worked well now. As next i can reactive all snippets step by step and will look wich one is the bad guy..
Thanks and regards!
April 18, 2017 at 6:19 am #29783btw. you have an eye on google analytics about your customer traffic? if yes, i would go this way:
– search for a fulfillment provider in your main market or home market area. in case u are in the U.S. i would try Printful.
– check how the woocommerce plugin works
– create 10 of your best images als Artprints
– order a print
– install Yet Another related Posts Plugin (YARPP) (it maybe needs a further relates Items Plugin)
– now you can define Artrints as Related Media Types and the will show with a scrored relevance under or above your related symbiostock media
– write a sencente like “Feel free to write us if you like our Artprints – but you did not find this Image jet” or something beside each Symbiostock Product. if you don’t know how to do this, watch a video about woocommerce snippets or modification at youtube.
—> if you will have 1 or 2 print sales a year, you can be lucky. but i think, its a big step for increasing your digital downloads conversion rate..
.. later you can think about:
– what if i could publish my Artprints as products on Ebay, Amazon, Etsy ect.?
– what if i create some special Products for example large horizontal Artprints or Wall-Art with Sleeping rooms mock-ups —> maybe look at gooten.com
– are there Facebook Groups where you can promote your Products?
..
remember you can define your own price. Do not sell them too cheaply.
April 18, 2017 at 6:17 am #29782Symbiostock funktioniert mit woo-commerce 2.5.5 und der aktuellen WordPress version. .. müsste aber hier irgendwo schon öfter beschrieben sein.
April 13, 2017 at 7:58 am #29766Do we speak of the same thing? There are many print on demand / print fulfillment service providers with woocommerce connection – you remain passive until a customer returns a product.
How is that handled with your print orders?
April 13, 2017 at 5:47 am #29764I think this is neither fish nor meat. Technically it seems to be a plus but I think it’s a minus for your conversion rate.
Why not create prints as native products?
1. You could include them on other platforms
2. you give the user the possibility to browse via related products at a glance – not behind a popup window.
April 12, 2017 at 2:57 am #29759i really understand your point – but I thought it would be nice to provide pre-rendered video formats as license variations.
I have tried to create per Media in the tab Licenses further pre-rendered videos, but it does’nt work perfect. Cool, of course, would be a similarly comfortable automatic upload with a naming convention similar to the alternate JPG
Do you think, it would be expensive to program it?
April 11, 2017 at 7:40 am #29753Hi Robin, ..one more question: is there a chance to offer several video licenses with different sizes in parallel for the future, e.g. 4K, HD, SD, Web?
March 7, 2017 at 1:02 am #29609i had a call with my host – it’s the same theme as last year. Some vector media will produce RAM overload/overflow on the Server – in this case while the customer try to download eps vectors as jpg. It sounds me a bit intransparent.
But yes, i’ve had a test with uploaded eps-vectors and they works with alternate jpg pretty well – so this is recommended for me from now. (in the past, i try to upload simple s/w vectors as eps only..)
..you can mark me as resolved. 🙂
November 7, 2016 at 11:02 pm #28801Sounds great & Thanks, Robin.
