ok, actually by deactivating the pt_BR.po file, it shows normally, now I wonder where in the default.po file it controls or have some code that may mess this when translated. It seems I shouldn’t had translated some text that should remain as a code.

    Any tip?

Ok, by deactivating the child theme and activating the parent, it works normal. I wonder what code controls it that I would add in the child functions.php?

Thanks for your reply Jo Ann. Weird it doesn’t work for pt or direct link:

I’ll try without child and other tests…

    The answer is yes….
That means you can change any css no matter where it is coded in the theme all from within your child theme styles.css (at least I haven’t experienced any restrictions, yet. And my styles.css is almost 900 lines.)

    Thanks Imago for the info.
Actually I would say more or less. I just tried it by using codes from bootstrap.css and styles.css into style.css at (-child/css) and it seems to work, thanks, but I have a comment on this practice. I think in this method will face an issue that by repeating each filename.css into the css and overriding wouldn’t happen.

I think that can happen that you have for example:
a:hover, a:active, a:focus, and etc can have in different files such as styles.css, bootstrap.css, and etc, with different values therefore by adding these into style.css will work for both instead of for each file and with different values. Well something to research better.

    – Are these changes just in style.css file and all changes just come from parent style.css or do you change also other css files also such bootstrap.css, style-login.css and so on? If so, do you place all them into style.css even coming from diferent css file names?

In the child theme directory, create a file called style.css. This is the only file required to make a child theme.

Redneck, by doing this, I don’t get to override the styles.css and bootstap.css changes I have done.

I’m sorry for the dumb question, but is it only for WP posts? I wonder, why my RSS doesn’t show the latest images I’ve uploaded and so on. It is just showing a post “Hello-world”, and I don’t use and don’t intend to use the site as a blog creating post “every day”, but would like a RSS showing the latest images/all images.

This is how i did it.
Made an image category “All” and this is the feed http://7horses.eu/wp/feed/rss/?image-type=all-images

    – Thanks for you reply 7horses. So, you created a category “All” and you add all images into it, until here I think is is ok, but another silly doubt, how do you create an RSS feed for this category “All”?

I noticed quite a few good sites are missing a decent home page title.

Leo, as everybody said, I also have removed mine (left empty) from the theme customization (Site Tittle & Tag line), because from some newest versions, it is now showing the TITLE in the top menu bar, and there is no option to hide it. See my menu if I type the Tittle:
    [attachment=0:2fm33o9y]tittle_menu_issue.JPG[/attachment:2fm33o9y]

So, IMHO, you should add in the (Site Tittle & Tag line) an option/checkbox to hide/show title on the bar.

Hi folks, nice to meet you all.

I’m starting a bilingual Symbiostock theme at : http://arquivoscriativos.com.br – It is still on working progress in structure, language and uploadings.

My name is Luis, a.k.a Lucato in the stock world, and I’m from Sao Paulo – Brazil. I’m stock Photographer since 2003, therefore, I’ve +10 years experience in the microstock photography business.

I’d like also to invite you all to check my portfolio which is very eclectic (ideas, concepts, people, isolated objects/people, landscapes, animals, illustrations (Vector, 3D and computer generated), seamless background, videos, sounds, and etc. Just 400 files are online now a days, but there are +7000 to come online soon.

See you all around the community.

    Have a great day,
    Luis (Lucato)

    Asking a doubt…

By having the theme SYMBIOSTOCK v3.2.7 and installing the Child Theme ( Empty Child Theme for more advanced css users ), should I activate the SYMBIOSTOCK v3.2.7 (1) or Child Theme (2)?

    My doubt are:
    a) if I activate SYM, will it read css from Child?
    b) if I activated Child instead, will it read all other functions and so on from SYM v3.2.7?

Another doubt I see that Child there is no styles.css, but style.css (no plural), and the SYM v3.2.7 there is no style.css (singular), it puzzled me.
I need to copy the changed content from styles.css to style.css or copy the full changed styles.css to the child? Also it should be withing the same path or in the main child root?

    Thanks.

what promoted keywords are most useful?
    – Can’t opine once I have no idea what are promoted keywords. :0)

I wasn’t sure either. Apparently if you “promote” keywords relevant to your images, your site will show up in searches for those keywords on other sites in the network, even if you’re not directly linked to them. This is why some of us have 13 or 14 sites coming up in some searches even though we’re only linked to a maximum of 10—those extra sites are using “promoted keywords” that are showing up in our results.

In your WP dashboard, to go “Symbiostock” and scroll down; you’ll see a box where you can input promoted keywords. You can add up to 40. I’ve been adding more since (Cascoly? I believe?) explained the significance to me.

Thanks for the explanation Shelma1. I’ll check it on my WP Dashboard and also wait further info from Cascoly to you. ;0)
    Have a nice day.
