But I know at least one gateway in a network (I do network administration for a local shop in my town, which is connected via VPN to some other shops around here) which will accept .jpeg and nothing else … so yes there are surroundings where it might matter. Not sure whether this helps

Seriously: I still have my test domain … so if you need an early tester, just let me know, I’ll be glad to help.

Sorry that I ask, I didn’t follow the things…But is a new Pro plugin? Because I have baught the Symbiostock Professional Plugin last year.
No, there is no new Pro-Plugin … if you bought it last year and have updated to the latest version everything is fine.
May 9, 2014 at 5:35 am #11076Could we get rid of the “image updated … date” on the single image pages or is it necessary for SEO?
May 9, 2014 at 5:32 am #11121So glad to hear that, Leo. You rock

All it was said before in this post. I’d add:
1. Very important too diversification of image sizes. I need about 5-6 different sizes, that sizes we have now are not complete. I suggest something like this:Web (500 pixels)
Large (1000 pixels)
Small (1500 pixels)
Medium (2500 pixels)
Large (4000 pixels)
Original size (4272 pixels)2. Also, a Rights Managed prices calculator type that one of Alamy it would be great! Rights Managed is a very complex licence and is not enough that we have only one price for it, there are thousands of combinations of uses and we must be professional.
3. Also is a must the VAT and billing part and
4. would be great the translation (even if it’s a hard part, I know). Automatic translation with the possibility to correct it manually directly online. For this please search in Google GT Translation tool of Eduard Ananyan maybe it can be integrated with Symbiostock, is a great tool based on automatic translation of Google but made in order that an user can edit the automatic translation manually directly online, going on the pages and correct words and phrases which Google translated bad. The system is remembering all the manually corrected translation. That tool is really great!
5. Also, I’d like to see more flexible layouts, possibility of large wide screen and 4 columns in the page, responsive layout.
6. [/size]
7. And, I remembered now, a zoom feature at 100% for the images (type that one Fotolia has which shows portions of image at 100%) in order that a client can see very well the quality of images. This is very important too. Many clients don’t buy if they don’t see the quality.
Very good points! 1, 3, 5, 6 and 7 seem most important to me.
May 6, 2014 at 6:12 am #10570Difficult to say what I like MOST … I like almost everything at Symbiostock
The few exceptions I’ve listed in the other thread …May 6, 2014 at 6:07 am #11059@joannsnover wrote:
Things I’d get rid of:
– The RSS feed on Categories
– The author description on the image pages (just the name with the necessary tags for making copyright ownership clear) – name linking to the About page is fine
– Limits on # of network partners (have as many as you want)
– The Symbiostock Community link on image pages
– icons in front of headings (keywords, categories, similar images, logout – everywhere)
– cart manager (perhaps I don’t know how to use it?)(I’ll come back and edit if I think of others)
– I support Jo Anns list, the only exception for me ist the cart manager: I think it is very helpful for customer relations.
– I would like to see a view counter (in the back end, not on single image pages (it should be an information for the image owner not for customers)
– The most important point in my eyes is the missing VAT-information during the registration.I guess it’s a good idea to make many things optional (like the icons in front of the headings … I have removed them, but others might love it).
Great to hear you are working on a refined version, Leo
April 30, 2014 at 7:06 am #10920No problems here. I’ve tested it twice and everything works fine.
