I stopped using it because of this problem. The last update I checked and it was still reproducing the problem.

Hi Jo, to see the “person’s email” in the email message, just replace the line in the “message body:” field…
From code:
From: [your-name]To code:
From: [your-name] – [your-email]or you can add a line below such as:
Sender’s email: [your-email]Use “
” to break lines.I hope that helps.
Thanks for the info. I have set it up another way currently so I might look into it later on with time. I’m fairly happy with the way it is now.

To answer a few questions:
The converter may have missed a few posts. I might be able to get them back, in the meantime, we’ll just keep moving forward. There will be quite a few reasons to use the board in the near future anyway.
The boards can now be seen by logged out people.
Spam control is LOCKED DOWN.
1 – Several spam system will block them immediately on arriving on site due to 8 or so filters set up. (Its amazing)
2 – If they pass that, they have to get through captcha.
3 – If they pass that, they enter into “New User Status”, with limited posting.
4 – Even with all considered, they can still be blocked if obvious spammers, and that submits their IP to spam recognition databases.Ok, seems like lockdown is in effect! I was thinking about offering to moderate but this board is so foreign to me now. I’d imagine now with these measures in place there is little need for more moderators.

December 27, 2013 at 11:20 am #7786Still a bit confused with trying to find new posts and such but it’s looking good.
Some of the last posts never made the transition to this new board.

November 17, 2013 at 12:49 pm #3269Well, I signed up again via the photographer section. We’ll see what happens. 😀

November 17, 2013 at 12:32 pm #7722I just looked into it. First stumbling block is this in the XML requirements…
“An image URL, for us to download an unwatermarked version of the image. The image should be no less than 300 pixels on a side, and should not be more than 1600”
Our thumbs are too small and the images are watermarked. I think doing it all manually it’s not worth the trouble.

November 16, 2013 at 10:03 pm #7661I will look into it shortly. Just too tired at the moment. Look forward to using the new system.

November 16, 2013 at 9:57 pm #3261There was a reply email and I clicked on it but doesn’t seem to have helped or done anything. I’ll try it again tomorrow with a fresh head.
I wouldn’t mind extra traffic. I can find my site’s images on Google but they are very low down on the rank system. The only way to get a hit is to use the site name + the search. Otherwise Google images doesn’t even show my images. The odd thing is that a non image search gets a hit easier than the image search.

November 16, 2013 at 9:24 pm #3259I don’t think they are the same though. I cannot log in to the photographers section with the front page login details.
Jo
November 16, 2013 at 9:13 pm #3257Leo, I just tried the front door link and the details to sign up are not the same as for the photographer section. When you click the link you gave…
http://www.picturengine.com/app/photographerlogin.php
and you click the “Photographer Registration”, it takes you to a paid options window, namely…
http://www.picturengine.com/app/register_p.php
On the normal sign up it is just for buyers. Perhaps I am missing something but if so it is unclear.

November 16, 2013 at 4:46 pm #3253Another warning bell to me is that the “monthly” fees are paid “yearly” and upfront. So there isn’t even a test ride other than a full year’s fees.
Jo
November 16, 2013 at 3:09 pm #3251Thanks Ron. Some of my thoughts too. I also don’t particularly like the idea that we, the little people, must pay but the agencies don’t have to. Unless I read something wrong that is what I understood.
I’d love to get more traffic but there are limits to my craziness LOL!

November 16, 2013 at 12:14 pm #7677I’m not sure if you are talking about in the Dashboard or on the actual site. In your dashboard > Media you can click on the Titles above to sort it by NAME, AUTHOR, UPLOADED, etc.

November 16, 2013 at 12:09 pm #3250I don’t want to start an argument but looking for info from people who use Picturengine… is it worth that much money? That is a lot of money when I consider the exchange rate.
I don’t want to hear the usual speech about being cheap or spending money to make money. Just if it is worth it in anyone’s experience?
