Are you suggesting a Condom Icon? 😀

Neither, i would like them displayed like local results, like ajt suggested. No scrolling.
Actually this is a very good option! I second it! I feel too much distraction is not good. It begins to turn an elegant commercial site into a flea market with too much bling bling going on!

If you have added people to your network, do a search on your site for something common, i use christmas because most people usually have something. You will see the results after your images.
Thanks Cathy!

October 13, 2013 at 11:47 am #4563I voted off but I would prefer the choice to have it on or off if it’s possible.

Edit: Ok I understand now. It appears AFTER you search on a site 🙂

October 13, 2013 at 11:19 am #4558I can’t answer properly but I would like to see an answer because it’s a good point.
I “think” because you add one thing at a time to your cart the extended licence gets applied to that one item. Then you add your next item and choose your options again. I speak under correction.
October 13, 2013 at 11:15 am #4555Thanks Christine! Leo’s work has enabled me to have the kind of commercial site that I’ve wanted to set up for a few years now.
October 13, 2013 at 11:08 am #4518Yes I could and I have a Vector category. If I have 1000 vectors then they will all show up on many pages all jumbled. So if you want a vector you will just abandon looking for one.
Think of the same with photographs. You could just have a category with “Images” in it instead of search area but it wouldn’t be very useful.
As I have said it is not top priority as I haven’t had time to make many vectors. It’s not urgent just a feature since the theme is set up to sell both vectors and jpegs. It could at the same time be expanded with a search option for “collections” since Leo likes that model of selling.
Many first time site owners make the mistake of setting up “their” site. If you put up a commercial site it is the “Buyers” site. The site is there not for the author’s ego, although that is often the case. If you want to get people to find and buy stuff from you, you MUST think of the best way to deliver that service. This is why our shopping cart is being remodelled to avoid confusion.
This isn’t a bug or urgent. It’s just a suggestion which has great commercial value for mixed media sites.

I don’t think it should be implemented in the basic search like “blog-images-vectors”.. I turn the blog off anyway.. I like simplicity.. one search for all 🙂
but there could be an advanced search in the future which includes many options along with this one.. or an advanced search feature that allows searching only certain categories?
all that said, I think there are many more issues before this and there is only one Leo.. the guy needs a rest after all.. 😀
That is why I said it was an option for the future. It takes adding a couple of lines of variables into the code. By default the code already indexes everything anyway. The only option needed is to isolate vectors for people who have different media on their sites.
When you are working on a project it is good to have an idea of quick and easy changes that can be implemented at such time as he is working on that segment of the coding. Asking him in 6 months time is kind of pointless when he may be working on it tomorrow.
Options are there for those that need it. Within reason one makes it easy for the client to locate what they are searching for. Not more difficult. Just because you see no use for it on your site doesn’t mean it should not be implemented. There is no point in limitation.

October 12, 2013 at 9:43 pm #4492I would strongly recommend keeping that lot behind the scenes LOL!
October 12, 2013 at 9:10 pm #4480The SYXtra version loads really quickly because it first loads the small thumbnail it has already loaded with the page. Once the bigger, clearer version has been downloaded, it replaces the stretched popup preview with the better version.
Don’t believe me 😉 Watch a thumb load without your watermark and then magically it is replaced!
October 12, 2013 at 9:05 pm #4488That’s the fun of installing Betas! They are always changing LOL! Everyday I’ve a new upgrade and things get fixed by the Hawaiian Elves 😀
October 12, 2013 at 8:31 pm #4431You can create this sort of layout on the latest version.
_________
|________| < Top menu with search
|________| < Header with logo
| |
| Body |
| |
|________|
|________| 1
|________| 2
|________| 3
|________| 4
|__|__ |__| <Just above footer, sort of part of it unless you add something to all 3 sections.
|________| <Footer with coypyrightEDIT: Ok on testing… the rows 1,2,3,4 do not show up widgets placed in them unless you have “Replace Front Page template” enabled and like Christine said… looks ugly. So it looks like this…
_________
|________| < Top menu with search
|________| < Header with logo
| | |
| Body | | < Sidebar
| | |
|______|_|
|__|__ |__| <Just above footer, sort of part of it unless you add something to all 3 sections.
|________| <Footer with coypyrightOctober 12, 2013 at 8:24 pm #4430As a possible extra note, I did switch off the section “Replace Front Page template” under the SYXtra plugin today to see what was what and I prefer this current layout as the previous on was not working properly and I felt left too much wasted white space. So this may be the reason why the links work. Just a thought.
