… Plus google is owner of G+.
This is the only reason why I have a G+ profile LOL! I loath having so many profiles and nonsense but it’s all about branding.
I must sit down with G+ and look at the settings and options. Thanks for mentioning it.

October 14, 2013 at 12:28 pm #3760Just one extra point, while I like this new look a lot, it has made the page very long. So there is a lot of scrolling compared to the simple text page.
I think the sub categories should be nested and hidden until you click on it perhaps. Makes for a shorter scroll.
If it’s possible, reduce the padding on container holding each category so it’s narrower also resulting less scrolling.
Mine is at least about 2-3 pages scrolling. http://stockyimage.com/image-categories/
Still loving the previews when you pop open the category!

Well, we do have a Google+ page. As the article mentions the might be important to use.
We now have 19 members but not that much action. There is a “show your images” folder, place your images with links to your site.
I can understand the connection between Google search engine and Google+ 🙂https://plus.google.com/u/0/b/109733815103979424222/communities/109578993073293948087
It might be very useful. How easy is it to do this? If you have to do one by one I’m just not going to do it LOL!

October 14, 2013 at 12:09 pm #4712I don’t have shares in SymbioStock (Leo, when can I buy some?) but honestly… I really think this new version of SymbioStock takes it to a new level where it looks and feels like a stock agency. I’m pretty happy and mostly satisfied with my site. I haven’t yet had any sales so I hope that the payment/download system is working hehe.

October 14, 2013 at 12:02 pm #4738Honestly, I no longer understand the mumbo jumbo nonsense. I’ve noticed no difference and in fact lately, I’m increasingly dissatisfied with search results from Google. First page is simply for who pays the most so often you can skip it and go straight to the second page where most of the proper links are.
They also are pushing paying customers more and more regardless of actual relevance so I think this is just another reshuffle where nothing changes but the bird name LOL!

I’m not talking about the visual side of Clean Theme, I don’t need upgrades for that reason for now.
What I meant is that upgrading to the newest Symbio (that adds crucial refinements to the cart etc) totally screws up the Clean Theme which is not compatible with that upgrade 2.7.x.Yes you need to remove the old version and then install the new version. I speak under correction but the current version won’t give you an option to upgrade to the new version that is currently being tested. It’s like a safety precaution. So you have to manually deactivate it, delete it, and then install the newer beta version. Then you will get notifications on upgrades.
Once you install the new version then make sure you have your child theme activated and it will work with your SymbioStock version.
This is what I have done with the new version, currently v2.8.0 as of this morning. http://stockyimage.com/
There is some custom work on my site but the information is all here on the board or on the help site.
Plugins I’m using;
Jetpack: http://wordpress.org/plugins/jetpack/
I think there is a prompt for it when you set up? I can’t remember.Contact Form 7: http://contactform7.com/
For my “Talk To Me” form to send me email.Amr Shortcode Any Widget: http://webdesign.anmari.com/1649/shortcode-any-widget/
Allows me to use widgets in a page like just below my front page welcome paragraphs.SYXtra Symbiostock eXtra Features: http://stock.imagerion.com/syxtra/
Warning, only some features will work properly. Ask if you get into complications. I’d say set up your site first and then decide if you need it.I’m only using it to produce the random images from my site gallery, tweak the header fonts ONLY, and page count views on the images. The rest is currently broken. It also adds a whole lot of footers and such to the widgets page that DON’T work and clutter up the view of that settings page layout. I would recommend first doing your page layout and then adding SYXtra as you can see which parts are new… and don’t work with the new theme until such time the plugin is updated.

Thanks a lot guys. I have done it using a small aquarium, stirring the water with a wooden spoon from my kitchen 🙂
It’s something I keep wanting to try as I actually need the images for myself (underwater composites) but I only have an old aquarium. I think it’s in my garage and I am sure it has scum build up on the glass. I’ve been busy with other things but I must look at it.

October 14, 2013 at 11:21 am #3758New Categories look terrific! I love the way they work. I also have nested categories. For example the main category “Food | Drink” has subs such as Cooked Food, Drinks, Raw Ingredients, Sweets | Desserts.
I love the previews! It’s a great selling point I think.

Edit: I just think like a buyer. I want to get to what I want to buy ASAP. So I try to make it is as easy and as quick for them to bypass what they don’t want and get them to what they came here for. If they then feel like browsing they will…

I’m another one using Clean Theme 2, and I really love it. Combined with SYS 2.6.5 and SYXtra plugin for some special niceties, it’s given me what I needed to build a beautiful and truly “clean-looking” website.
If I didn’t have to do something to make my sales go through to completion (and if that fix weren’t built into the 2.7.x version) I would not upgrade at this time.
If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. If it is broke, however… :/
Mine is running the latest version and some elements of SYXtra that still work but no clean theme. It doesn’t look too different from your layout.

October 13, 2013 at 9:06 pm #4576Very cute! Can’t see why it wouldn’t sell. I have a whopping ONE Christmas Vector in total LOL!
I have a little old lady in the UK that plays scrabble with me and she always sends me Flash cards with a dog for Christmas and brithdays! The one year she didn’t and I asked her where the doggie was. I was kidding and she went and send me another!

October 13, 2013 at 8:59 pm #4617I can only advise you as Leo advised me a few days ago on the same error. It’s not serious and don’t worry about it LOL! No seriously, I got that same error message and a extra few others when I first set up to ativate the Symbio network.
By the time everything was filled in and the Symbiocard was done, I never got the message again.
As I understand this sort of message is just because of something that is not filled in so it generates an error. So just work through filling in all the bits and pieces in the network area. Essentially this error looks more alarming than it is as the site still functions properly.
If you keep getting the message then maybe there is something more.
October 13, 2013 at 2:55 pm #3231That, I’m afraid I don’t know how to do… YET! 😀
October 13, 2013 at 1:55 pm #1978It’s great to see sales happening. It’s a snowball gathering momentum 🙂

October 13, 2013 at 1:33 pm #3229They are from here…
http://fortawesome.github.io/Font-Awesome/
Basically you copy the name of the icon into the “Title Attribute” of the menu item you want an icon for.
The icon list on the site is here…
http://fortawesome.github.io/Font-Awesome/icons/
Edit: You don’t have to download the font unless you want to use it locally. It basically links to the online font and inserts the font icon as the page loads.
