The problem of all results on one page is a bug. I think that others who had this problem could work around it by disabling the Symbiostock Cart Manager plugin.
That should give you 24 images per page of results (the default). Then, if you want to change the code to give a different number, see this thread for the edits you need to make:
January 13, 2014 at 4:20 am #8258So just UI changes?
Have you fixed the bug that changed file sizes (for blog, small & medium) when you applied licenses to existing images? If not, I’ll wait to test until a future version when that’s fixed – it’s too big a risk to mangle existing files otherwise.
Unrelated to the above, but related to the batch editor, I got a call a month or so ago from Justin at PicturEngine about getting my portfolio up there (I had signed up but never got the preview images set up). I told him I’d get to it, but when I went to actually generate the previews for them, it became clear it just wasn’t ready. I can’t make the promo images for my whole portfolio in any reasonable way, and even if I could, I can’t have new uploads get handled automatically in the future as I keep uploading. And how would I handle them manually? There’s just no workflow that makes any sense with things as they are now.
It’s great that you tried to get a connection between Symbiostock and PicturEngine, but there’s just a few missing pieces and the gap’s too wide to jump, IMO

January 13, 2014 at 12:26 am #8240Are you using the home page generator? I think that may be the case and possibly is why you can’t do what you want to via child theme editing – I have only done a little dabbling with that on my test site to help out someone who was trying to make that work.
Take a look at what my browser shows me for your page (and note that somewhere you’ve put in the color white as ffffff as opposed to #ffffff) – click to get the full size version
Your edits are there but are being overridden.
If you are using the home page generator, go to Appearance Customize and select the color you want in the Symbiostock General panel on the left.
January 13, 2014 at 12:11 am #8278There may be, but I think it’s important to exercise some restraint – there is a reason the agencies have been restrictive, even if they apply the rules in ways that end up being pretty arbitrary.
The big thing is that for some designers, they can’t work with an image if it’s highly processed – you use it as is or not at all. A more generic image can be processed by the designer.
The thing some agencies miss is (a) something ready to go as is has value to some buyers, even if not all (b) trying to set firm rules about something as subjective as this is especially hard – more so than for focus, lighting and other rejection reasons.
I’ve seen some stuff that qualifies as Photoshop abuse and IMO looks really cheesy and amateurish – but that’s the joy of having our own sites – we get to make the call and see what sells. It was a long time ago now, but I got all sorts of grief from another contributor at iStock for replacing the sky (with one that was blue and pretty); a year or so later when I checked the sales of my image versus his, it was about double his sales. It may not have been “authentic” but it was selling better.
As it is our call, we can also upload a “plain” and a “processed” version of the same image if we want to
January 12, 2014 at 10:02 pm #8237You could try editing the css file directly (in a text editor) if you think the problem is not the CSS but the editor not handling it.
from your home directory wp-content/themes/symbiostock-dragonfly (for me it could be symbiostock-child for you) and you should find style.css there
January 12, 2014 at 8:47 pm #8193I’ve been at 3.8 for a while now and things seem fine to me – Symbiostock 2.9.9 and php 5.4.22 (Bluehost)
January 12, 2014 at 8:45 pm #8204I haven’t done anything custom with the PayPal buttons. I’m not sure why I’d want to change how my PayPal account is set up to restrict it to encrypted only.
January 12, 2014 at 8:43 pm #8235Then you’ll have to poke around a bit in the browser’s debug mode to see why that isn’t working. You might try adding !important to the end of the color line (it can sometimes be that other declarations take precedence over yours) first, so see if that’s the issue.
January 12, 2014 at 7:55 pm #8202You are the seller, and I think it’s how you have set up your PayPal account that’s causing the problem. A google search revealed this
and this
January 12, 2014 at 7:49 pm #8233If I load your food site and use chrome’s inspector to change the body background color to white, it works just fine, so add
background-color: white; to the body definition and you should be all set. #ffffff will work as well if you prefer that to using a name
January 12, 2014 at 7:42 pm #8216It’s a problem when you have no more slots to add people – I added one a month or two ago and found out that I had effectively bumped a prior network partner off – the interface let you add more but then zapped someone behind your back (so to speak).
At the time (and I think that may be in the lost forum posts from November and December) I had asked why we can’t have more slots if we want, and a couple of people said they wouldn’t mind that. I don’t see any reason for the limit of 10 (although whatever the limit, the interface should be fixed so you know what’s going on if you’re “full”).
I don’t care if people don’t add me back – I link to sites whose work seems to me to make a good fit with mine, and this isn’t a club or a popularity contest (in my mind). If the people I added had full networks already, that wasn’t a reason for me not to add them. I’m trying to improve the buyers’ experience if they visit my site.
Also, my site has a custom change I made to 2.9.9 that ajt has now included in 3.x.x that if there are no matches on my site it uses the global search instead of saying “no results”, so that’s another way to broaden the connections when it makes sense

Does this mean that the custom changes some of us did a while back to our No Results Found page are now part of the standard theme? If so, that’s wonderful. If not, can you elaborate a bit please?
December 28, 2013 at 12:54 am #7872Also, there are lots of the details of bugs – the licenses don’t work, the batch editor changing image sizes when you try to apply licenses, the inability to usefully connect to PicturEngine, etc. – that have just gone poof too.
December 28, 2013 at 12:50 am #7871I mentioned this in another thread (I’m a bit lost at the moment as to where that was – sorry!) and Leo said he’d try to do something but we should just focus on moving forward.
There is a ton of stuff – code snippets, css, useful questions and answers – that’s lost in dumping a month and a half worth of posts. I don’t think Leo appreciates what this means as he hasn’t been here dealing with any of the day-to-day questions.
I can help you with the blog post on the Google+ authorship which is here:
http://www.digitalbristles.com/image-authorship-with-google/
I think most of the back and forth got answered in the blog post and a couple of updates to it, but if not, we could start a new thread. There was a lot of stuff about rich data in general – possibly in that thread too. I have been monitoring how Google Webmaster’s summary of my structured data is tracking these changes (as it slowly re-crawls the site) and the error pages and dropping and the pages with structured data climbinb
