Nice that you made the research effort. I really need to do more with FB!
Do you have paid ads running on FB?
What are newsfeeds on FB?Sorry for the FB noob questions.
October 28, 2013 at 9:18 pm #6447That’s how Google, Facebook, etc, works!
They push us down a tunnel on internet. They need to show us things they think are important for us to see. The open internet isn’t open anymore! The trick for us is to find our way through those tunnels.
October 28, 2013 at 9:51 am #6371Not excatly know what a Alexa position is but you are doing it way better than me. I see you at 500000 and me at 4.2 million. Massive difference!
What are you doing good and what am I doing bad?
Any tips?October 27, 2013 at 11:00 am #5995@christine wrote:
After a few days away from the computer there have been a lot of updates. I have just upgraded to 2.9.4 and have my own child theme and Plrang’s plugin and do not notice any difference to the front page so far.
Might be a silly question – have you re-activated your child theme?
Yes my child-theme is activated. I do see there are changes to searchform_symbiostock.php and header.php and more.
I’ll have to check the diff. line by line.Luckily I am on Linux so I can use lot’s of tools to check problems, not that I really in the mood for that 🙂
October 27, 2013 at 10:35 am #5993Just upgraded to 2.9.4
I suppose everyone having no troubles with the upgrade don’t use there own child theme and Plrang’s plugin. My front page is all messed up, think I have to check my page template. Header all strange, search bar 100% width and looking weird, CSS colors on image pages altered, NAV messed up, have a ‘Image #1148’ in the “panel-heading”,….
Maybe more challenges but first back to work!
October 25, 2013 at 7:49 am #5776So with 2.8.9 the client clicks the ‘Purchase’ button and then immediately goes to PayPal without registration on my site.
Is that correct?

Haha, that’s why I was so confused!
In the meantime my historical city center is burning. The birth place of Mata Hari has just gone down in flames. A huge crash tender from the airforce is on standby, heli’s, etc. Some mysterious fire equipment, Cobra something, is now on the move from Amsterdam. Pretty depressing. My neighbour is firefighter, hope to hear from him.
A few weeks ago we heared we are European Capital of Culture in 2018. So sad.
I hope there is not too much damage and that they can stop it soon. Sounds terrible. Many things can be replaced but historical buildings and such is lost forever.
J
It’s maybe hard to believe but people are crying here. Beautiful buildings in flame just behind the statue of Mata Hari!

October 19, 2013 at 9:05 pm #1456So guys, I am totally confused with FB!
I now see 3 Likes on my Business FB page. 2 from symbio members, David and Michele. Cathy and ‘View Factor Images’ liked an image. Can’t find Jo.
It’s me, really. Maybe I’ll start to invite some guys to my page later this week.
Has anyone had any success with FB as business?

If someone named Michele liked your page yesterday, that was me. 🙂 I can’t figure out how to get my Symbio page to like someone else’s page…
Hi Michele, only David has liked my FB page. I think something went wrong.

October 18, 2013 at 1:08 pm #5365Leo, just for your info.
I am running PS CS4 perfectly on Ubuntu 13.04 64bits with Wine, or better said PlayOnLinux.
There may be no need to dump CS5!October 14, 2013 at 12:30 pm #4741@jorodrigues wrote:

Well, we do have a Google+ page. As the article mentions the might be important to use.
We now have 19 members but not that much action. There is a “show your images” folder, place your images with links to your site.
I can understand the connection between Google search engine and Google+ 🙂https://plus.google.com/u/0/b/109733815103979424222/communities/109578993073293948087
It might be very useful. How easy is it to do this? If you have to do one by one I’m just not going to do it LOL!
Jo
It’s very easy. Type a few words about your image, paste a link to that image add a few hashtags and post.
It is similar to facebook. Facebook is more chitchat about nothing and G+ is more subject orientated.Plus google is owner of G+.
