Leo, there is an issue on your site when viewing it on internet explorer..
(IE9 for windows vista)
when I click on categories, it is impossible to see them.. check the attachment to see how it appears to me..
This is actually an EI9 specific problem. Please let me know if this is fixed now. https://github.com/orangeman555/symbiostock/blob/metamorphosis/symbiostock.zip?raw=true

September 26, 2013 at 8:35 pm #3168So whoever wants to test the system – in all fairness it might be good depending on how longs its free – why don’t you email me leo[at]symbiostock.com
We’ll get you set up and you can report your experience here.
September 26, 2013 at 4:47 am #3217Here are some more notes on using it:
https://github.com/twittem/wp-bootstrap-navwalker
The only difference is that font-awesome icons must be used, not the default bootstrap ones they mention.
If you want to make a divider, see the example on that page.

sounds good – just wanted to be sure I had the latest
and 40 promoted keywords should work (at least for awhile!)
I love the rainbow! Catch me a few lizards while your there.
September 26, 2013 at 4:40 am #1546Awesome! Not to move ahead too quickly, but we are ready for some beta testing! (At least, anyone brave enough to jump in! 🙂 )
https://github.com/orangeman555/symbiostock/blob/metamorphosis/symbiostock.zip?raw=true 2.6.8
One feature that is available is the ability to make icon-oriented menu items:
http://www.symbiostock.org/topic/158/create-dropdown-menus-with-icons-new-feature/
You can see it in action on my website, http://www.clipartillustration.com
In this version of Symbiostock multi-level menus do not work. This is because the latest version of bootstrap 3, which is made for the responsive web, does not support multi-level menus. Trying to force it in would be counter-productive.
Some new features:
[list=*]
[*]Stick nav menu to top (sticks while scrolling)
[/*]
[*]Place nav menu under header as normal
[/*]
[*]Turn daily updates on and off (if you are not uploading images, its not needed, and saves CPU)
[/*]
[*]Remove the “Images” or “Blog” option from search. (Will default to image search, and clean things up)
[/*]
[*]Change DOWNLOAD (green button under product table) to any word you want such as “Cart” or “Buy me darnit!”
[/*]
[*]Promoted keywords upped to 40
[/*]
[*]Fetch ALL directory sites from http://www.symbiostock.info (if your host is limited to 30 second script time, it may die … no biggie)
[/*]
[*]There may be other things, but I can’t remember right now =|
[/*]

on the bug stomping list — what’s the latest version of the pro plugin? I still just see 1.1.7
There will be a new update soon. Right now I’m doing mostly housecleaning on Symbiostock in general.

Thanks – I thought I’d lost my mind for a while there.

I thought that at this point I was pretty capable of upgrading to the latest version(s).
However I spent most of yesterday afternoon trying to install version 2.6.8 only to get fatal errors and no web site for hours.
I was finally able to reinstall version 2.6.5 and all is good at the moment. In my Themes Available area it shows version 2.6.8 and 2.6.5 being available.
If I activate 2.6.8 and then reactivate the Child Theme
I get and email telling me I have upgraded to 2.6.5.
(And I don’t see any of the features or changes Leo outlined).I hesitate to delete 2.6.5 since yesterday when 2.6.8 was the only theme available I had fatal errors and no web site.
I had to go to my Bluehost File Manager and delete the theme and re-upload 2.6.5 there to get things back.
So suggestions anyone?
Steve
This is my mistake. I never updated the zip file to the proper one. I’ll get that done asap.
Never assume you’ve lost your mind when your using software by a developer who’s lost his mind!
BTW – can you email leo[at]symbiostock.com to get the latest? I still haven’t uploaded it.

I’ve noted your other things – I’ve just upped to 40

Cookie Cart = #1 priority in my humble opinion, after fixing ALL remaining visual bugs.
Surely this will help sales.
Some reasonable feedback on this one – my symbiostock.com site (where you purchase the upgrade) uses a cookie cart. Its a nightmare of epic proportions if someone gets derailed in the process. There’s a whole new category of things that can go wrong. And believe me, I’ve had enough getting cursed out in the last 9 months (the final straw being yesterday on MSG)
September 25, 2013 at 11:35 pm #1533Thanks for noticing those things. Those are small fixes actually. If you can go through EVERYTHING response-related and post them I’ll blaze through them tonight 😀
September 25, 2013 at 11:02 pm #3205For a while I had heavily banked on selling files with the idea that transparency is included. I found it didn’t matter a great deal. Only a few customers make requests for transparency. It doesn’t hurt though.
September 25, 2013 at 11:00 pm #1530If this is a large need then I can set it up sooner. Theres SO many requests even in the signup – for instance some people want a cookie cart (no info, just buy) and others want more options. So what we are looking at here is a rather large assortment of “if” conditions – options to first of all activate, then choose.
If thats crucial though I can bump it higher on my priority list.

Changing the registration is crucial for me (and others from Germany and perhaps other countries too).
I talked with my tax counselor yesterday and he emphasized that I have to know whether the buyer is a private person or a business man/woman and from which country he or she comes from.
Leo, could you please give us options what we ask the customers during the registration:– private or business person
– vat id number (if it is a business person)
– countryperhaps for those who wants it:
– name
– address
– phoneActually this is very important for me, so it would be very much appreciated 🙂
I’ll see if I can work it in soon
