It would be great if someone could figure out how to increase the network from 10 to 15 or 20. Then Leo could add the changes into a future update.
+1 – I second that ❗
January 25, 2014 at 8:49 pm #8790At this point I don’t think traffic is much of an issue. At least on my site besides (google) bots I don’t see much traffic coming from sites that link to me. However, I think the SEO impact of having my site networked is quite remarkable. Of course, I’d like to see the inter-network traffic (from humans) increase big time 😉 . Thank you, Shelma1 and others, who are doing a great job promoting the network as a whole 😀 .
January 25, 2014 at 6:29 pm #8796I just relaunched an overhauled version of my site http://www.imagoborealis.com and have still a few open network slots. If you think my aurora borealis, yukon landscape, travel, etc. images would be a good match for your stunning astronomy photos please fill a slot. I just did the same for you :D.
January 23, 2014 at 4:26 am #8706I’ve done a number of php tweaks and new page templates (check out galleries) on my test page at http://www.digitalphotodreams.com. It’s going live and moved over tohttp://www.imagoborealis.com by this weekend I hope. I happily share whatever you find useful.
January 23, 2014 at 4:14 am #8352Hi Leo, thank you for wrestling the remaining bugs 😀 .
Regarding the Twitter bug I found the following in my server’s error.log (blue host, a twitter queue is stuck there for a long time):

I just hope it helps….
January 22, 2014 at 3:03 am #8653Here’s another feature I miss in the current Batch Editor:
– search (and select) for different image sizes such as horizontal, vertical, square, panorama…
I have applied different pixel sizes to each group and with the existing sizing bug it’s a royal PITA. But even when the bug is fixed it will be helpful.

You can do this to a certain extent in
Stock Images
All Images
select the images you wish to edit and in the Bulk Actions dropdown box at the top select Edit and Apply
this will group together the images you wish to add categories, keywords, status, etcThat’s true and I use it regularly. That’s why I miss it so much for the professional plugin features such as licenses and discounts. It’d be much easier to batch edit a number of drafts than to find all the just published images.
January 21, 2014 at 5:44 am #8656It’s definitely not new! My 2.6.5 site shows the same behavior. 😯 Unbelievable that none of us noticed this so far…
January 21, 2014 at 5:31 am #8502I somehow suspect that Leo deliberately places a bomb topic like this once in a while to provoke and spark discussion 😉 . He does that very successfully I must say 😀 .
January 21, 2014 at 12:42 am #8566No I haven’t tried it. I find it hard to believe that this plug-in will play nicely with Symbiostock without a major effort to code it into the php. I’d love to hear about some first-hand experience as well, though.
January 20, 2014 at 11:49 pm #8565The Symbiostock help page says ‘Size settings that will be applied to images on upload. These cannot (yet) be changed after uploading, so be sure to choose something that fits your portfolio’s average image size, or change these settings before uploading an image batch’
That quote is definitely misleading. It must be a left-over from the very early days of Symbiostock when resizing after upload indeed didn’t work.

January 18, 2014 at 5:35 am #8476Leo, you invented the wheel in 2013 and now, in 2014, you want to re-invent it? Why? – I can see that wordpress/php/mysql have their disadvantages. But what I can’t see is why you seem to think that any other foundation won’t have their own disadvantages.
Excuse my ignorance but what exactly are AJT’s and Cascoly’s demands that can’t be filled by adding on to the current Symbiostock theme?
I for my part would be a quite happy camper if in 2014 (only) the remaining (major) bugs get addressed and solved. So, please, try to convince me that re-inventing Symbiostock is a good idea.

Perhaps (since I can’t find it in my heart to shock everyone with a complete overhaul) I can FINALLY put in translation into the current version series. Would you like that? That way no hacking necessary.
As we had discussed, perhaps you can send me your translation and I’ll make it a part of the downloadable package.
Also did I send you the premium version yet as a trade? Let me know.
That’s good news! I am hoping you’re also going to code the infrastructure needed for having multilingual image metadata (title, description, keywords) in a way that the search works multilingual and Google sees it, too, for SEO/indexing purposes. I am looking forward to any new development in this area. 😀
January 5, 2014 at 12:32 am #7940If I was an image buyer searching for “that” picture that I couldn’t seem to find on Shutterstock & co I would be definitely interested in a (small) heap of 20,000 exclusive images if I can search that heap efficiently. I most definitely wouldn’t want to wade through hundreds of images that I’ve already seen (and dismissed) on Shutterstock & co.
I don’t know how often such a buyer will come to us but I am sure this type of buyer is the last one I want to send away. Just saying… -
