Thanks Robin – I now have the grand total of 1 image listed !!   (but I did get 10 new designs created, printed, photographed, edited and listed on my nail art site, Etsy and Ebay today so that was quite a good days work)

Okay, think I have done that – I assume the “curl silent etc” is the command line I add to the cron job thingy in C panel?

They were not when I tried last night.  Have deleted all images and uploaded one to see what happens when it appears

Hi, thanks for replies.

Yes, I installed Lite and Pro and have the correct WooCommerce and it is so long since I used the old Symbiostock and done so many things in the meantime I had probably forgotten most of it anyway.

No, there were no licences pre installed

I had not clicked the raster option which I have now done and clicked on the update prices and update licences option (and removed the £ from the price and tried it all again)

It took me quite a while to realise that they do not automatically go from being uploaded to showing in the media section, and that you have to click the run now button.

I am finding the initial setup is more than a little complex, not sure if I am ever going to reach the easy running stage at the rate I am going   I have tried a couple more images, am wondering if it is beyond the life support stage and need a seance to revive it 🙂

At least I got something right as I did the currency in WooCommerce 🙂

I only have one product so far, as I am not going to do more unless/until I get that to show up correctly.  There were no existing licences.  I have obviously left it too long since I last worked on this as it used to seem simple.

Having spent the last few days trying to get things up and running again (and having to delete the whole of my legacy site in the process) I have been totally frustrated by my inability to apply pricing to my images – just how do you do this, I have tried searching forums and documentation but am obviously using the wrong search terms.   Plus, if I ever do get it working I have a few more questions

How do I add prices, it must be possible as others seem to have managed it 🙂

Will I be able to set it to sterling ?

Can you sell physical prints and downloads on the same listing

Thanks for the update Leo – am currently exploring the new site – got lost a few times but finding my way around. Curious as to why this thread is not at the top as it is the most recent, took me a while to find it ?

Interested to learn that the new version will be able to sell physical items as well as I have just started painting again after a break of many years as well as investing in a lovely new printer to sell prints of my images

Sorry everyone – I deactivated my site because of the EU VAT debacle, so if anyone has kerioakimaging.com it is no longer active in the network unfortunately.

If things get changed and we can do small sales – at the moment they call small anyone turning over less than £2M !! I will reactivate

Donato Raponi, head of the EU VAT section is meeting with UK Vataction group within the next ten days so they can put forward the problems to him for micro sellers – that they currently term under £2,000,000 – I would LOVE to be a micro seller at that level.

Fingers crossed they persuade him to give a total exemption for a sensible amount so this rule/law/whatever will no longer affect us all

Hi Ron, I now see why you and others were so concerned about the VAT, there is a lot more information available now than when I last searched.

From what I understand you cannot block other EU countries from buying due to the “free trade” agreement although on both ebay and etsy where I am selling you can block/choose certain countries respectively so I am not sure how firmly this is policed – but that is for physical items maybe it is different for digital.

I too have taken the licensing part of my site offline as being self-employed I cannot afford tax problems, and I certainly don’t want the hassle of working out differing VAT levels for each EU member country, collecting the tax and then sending it to the various countries every quarter, life is complicated enough without getting involved in VAT.

This affects every single one of us throughout the world though, not just those in the EU – those outside would have to block sales to EU countries to get out of their legal obligation to collect VAT on sales to EU.

Hi Everyone, Good to see the community back again. I have had a couple of sales through the summer but I have not been paying much attention to the stock site as my nail art site and nail art on ebay have been keeping me very busy, especially with the Christmas designs – so if anyone wants any nice little stocking fillers ………… 🙂

It is in the dashboard I think – Symbiostock – user settings or something like that. I am not logged in at the moment so cannot check but I think it is somewhere easy, no need to tamper with php files
