Kind Wendy sent me a tutorial on menus, but i still couldnt do it, then my web designer friend took a look and has put menus up…….he did it in less than 10 minutes, whereas i have been trying to make a menu since 11 March.
Conclusion, its too hard for me, but i will keep going until i break it again. 🙂March 25, 2014 at 10:31 pm #10342@susandaniels wrote:

March 28, 2014 at 10:38 pm #10343hello!
i have loads of questions but just one for now 🙂
when i log out and log back in, the page that opens is the ‘customer licence and file management area’, how can i make it go to the home page? thanks 🙂
http://www.4surephoto.com/oh and i read somewhere about icons, they were free to download but i cant remember where i saw the link, i notice some symbiostock sites are using them
March 28, 2014 at 11:57 pm #10344When I visited your site I saw a home page (I entered the url for /customer-licence-and-file-management-area/ manually and that page looks different from the home page I started with
Do you only see the wrong page when you’re logged in or all the time? And are you using the home page generator to set your site up?
March 29, 2014 at 10:40 am #10345hello JoAnn 🙂
yes i think i used the Home Page Generator, BUT it shows home page is the ‘About’ page! i have changed this word to Home many times but it always reverts back to ‘About’……i dont know why
here is a screenshot for that:

It generates a Home page for you. If you need to make changes you have to go back through the process of generating the home page again. Most information is repopulated such as the Call to Action boxes. But from past threads there was a request to have the “Home Page” remembered but at this time it does not as you have found. It is not saying that the “About” page is your home page, it is just a default value that is pulled from your list of possible pages. You just have to make sure each time you go through the home page generator to make changes that you choose the right Home Page.
Hope that makes sense.

March 29, 2014 at 3:45 pm #10347thanks Tim, i think thats what i have been doing (in the hope that oneday ‘home’ would stick)
March 30, 2014 at 10:40 am #10348I need a step by step tutorial for ‘Featured Image’ on the home page, i have the title showing but i cant insert a picture, and same for ‘Latest Images’ thanks
http://www.4surephoto.com/April 2, 2014 at 4:35 pm #10349how do i do the Image Categories?
http://www.4surephoto.com/image-categories/i have given up with featured image and latest images, i havent a clue how to do it
is there a tutorial i can follow? thanks allApril 2, 2014 at 7:18 pm #10350from the look of your page, it appears you have deleted all your image categories – not even the default ones are there.
You can get the defaults back (including Featured Images as a category) by switching to any other theme and then back to Symbiostock. It will recreate the defaults for you.
In general, you can create categories as you upload images or you can use the Stock Images (ladybird) -> Image Categories panel in the WP admin interface to add some.
April 2, 2014 at 8:02 pm #10351Thanks JoAnn, i will keep on trying 🙂
April 2, 2014 at 10:49 pm #10352another thing to remember is that a category will only show up to visitors if you actually place images in it — so you can just leave the default categories there
April 3, 2014 at 12:54 pm #10353Aha! something just clicked into place…….i need some time to understand what i just did 🙂 but i do declare i have Image Categories with a dropdown menu! HUZZAH 😀
April 3, 2014 at 2:33 pm #10354You do – yea!
However you need to look at your image pages – I’m not seeing prices on the two with previews and there are for with none, but which have prices
http://www.4surephoto.com/image/
That will list all your images.
April 3, 2014 at 3:52 pm #10355thanks JoAnn, i saw that too, i dont know what i did to get 4 empty images, and as i am still exclusive at you know where, i am afraid to upload anything that could be bought, i believe i have turned ‘live’ off and also i have turned off the prices, here are my screenshots, oh and i think i have now trashed those images that werent showing up in the link you posted above….
