Wow! OK, I really don’t understand menus all that well but I think you should simplify. Start by taking all of your pages out of your menus except 1. Then add pages 1 at a time and see what happens. That is how I did it. Its a bit slow but at least you can see what is going on.

ETA: this part that you are in right now is what gave me the most trouble. Learning how to navigate the menus, pages, plugins and styles will take a bit of time. Lots of trial and error but you will get there. I would have two browser windows open. One in the back end and one so you can see what happened when you edit something. Don’t forget to refresh.

mostly it looks like a problem with having menus installed in different parts of the same screen (eg in above header, header, and body), resulting inj all the duplication

Just had a look and you have come a long way since last night.

It looks as if you have deleted all your categories from the category list as well as from the menu items. You don’t need the Symbiostock links in your header/navigation bar/menu – this is more for you than the customers that will be using your site.

Can anyone advise me how to delete the symbiostock.png and the logo? i have looked everywhere 😯

I think this is how to change that…
On your WordPress dashboard go to the Users section (in the long list of WP options, it’s not under the Symbiostock settings). Go you “Your Profile” and you’ll see a section at the bottom for some Symbiostock specific settings. You can upload your photo or your own logo there and it will replace the Symbiostock logo. Otherwise, if it’s blank, the default is the logo. I think it needs to be square with the dimensions of 150 x 150 pixels.

thank you klsbear, i went to Users – Your Profile , scrolled down and all i can see is :
Wordpress SEO Settings
Title to use for author page
Meta Description to use for author page
and at the bottom is a blue button which says Update Profile

You cannot see all the options in your user profile until you do

Hmmm… I have a whole big section below what you’re listing that is titled Symbiostock Profile and Extended Network Info with a lot of info to fill in before I get to the update button.

I’m purchased Leo’s professional plug-in. I wonder if that is the difference. But there should be an area somewhere for you to upload a picture or logo to be used on your author page. I think that is what you need to find in your settings so it over-rides the logo.

thank you all, i have now activated the ‘network’ and can now see what JoAnn posted in her picture above, i removed my header image and refreshed, then uploaded again and refreshed etc and it is still showing the symbiostock title, there must be a step i am missing?

Have you put your own logo in as a header image (wrong) or as a png in Symbiostock (bee), Symbiostock, Settings, Header Logo

Somehow during the forum moves all the images got into the wrong places (which probably has not helped people setting up)

Did you replace the default Symbiostock logo in the Symbiostock, Settings area
or
Create a Header and include it in the header?

You can create a blank or pictorial header, do not put your logo into it.
Your logo – .png should have the url address added in Symbiostock, Settings and this will overlay the header

yes, i went to the media library and uploaded my test header, then chose the header from my uploaded images, save changes……
