shell_exec php

Hi,

I have found problems with the metadata extraction, because the hostings that usually we use and others that I have good recomendations don’t lets activate this php directive (shell_exec). All says me that this is a security hole, and they suggested me for solution the problem that not use this.

So.. do you plan in any time do the metadata read/write process with another system that not use this directive? Or can you help me with any suggestion that helps to read this data from the image without use this?

Thanks for the suggestion. I will add this to our to do list. You will not be able to write metadata without shell access, however.
