I’m using both sitemaps, Yoast and Symbiostock, and both are really slow in image indexing (the web pages are indexed almost all). A couple of days ago, I resubmitted both sitemaps.
In the last few days, the symbiostock sitemap is even losing some images (I have over 700 images online and only 117 images are indexed – drop from 124, despite a recent addition of some 50 images).
What could be causing the drop?
indexing fluctuates as google re-crawls your site, so it’s normal to see small drops or increases.
if you have a low % of images indexed, most likely you’re competing with your own images that are already indexed by microstock agencies
Thanks, Steve
1. Does it mean that if there is another similarly described image already online (with another agency or in my own Symbio portfolio), the new image won’t get indexed?
2. If I upload 4 images of bald eagle each one in a different pose, what’s the trick to get them all indexed?
