Portfolio Grid Template [resolved]

Hi there,

I would like to use the Portfolio Grid Template, but I can’t find a way to add a Portfolio item. There is no Custom Post Type for Portfolio. Am I missing a plugin or is something wrong with my theme-installation?

Hi Sandra,

Thanks for your question, you’ve actually highlighted a bug in the theme as those templates, including the portfolio grid, actually do not exist and should not be showing up as template options.

That being said, there is an easy solution for creating a portfolio grid page, you just need to install this cool WordPress plugin called Foo Gallery:

It’s very easy to use.  I installed and set up this sample page in less than 5 minutes:

There are customization options, such as being able to specify the size of your thumbnails.

After you create a gallery, you can insert it into any page by copying and pasting the specific gallery’s shortcode into the desired page.

I hope this solution gives you your desired design elements. I think this plugin is a great solution for any theme that does not have built in portfolio mechanisms.
