Password protection and user management

Hi,

I am trying to build my Symbiostock site and would like for parts of my site to be public and parts to be private (client area).
I am trying to build my platform so that users can sign up for account and also where I sign accounts to private clients. I want to sell membership and subscriptions as well as selling single images/footage. For this I need something more then a simple password protection plugin.

Does anyone have any experience with integrating something simular?

I feel that woocommerce own addon is quite expensive and does not give me all the options i want. I am currently trying out a plugin called: Private Content. Anyone out there using it?
