Need help setting up categories and categories in Menu (sybiostock expresss)

So I’ve added my categories in symbiostock pro ,uploaded some test images and assigned them categories,
Set up Revslider etc.etc
But how do I get these categories to show up in the Shop page or in the menu?
I want everything set up like the symbiostock express demo site
The symbiostock express theme instructions are not very helpful
I tried setting the categories as custom links but all I got was a 404 error
could someone please explain in simple terms
how to set up my site like the demo

I figured out how to add my categories to the menu,now just need to set up the shop page categories
