Hi all,
I am launching my new site today:
http://www.alilamedicalimage.com/My site is specialized in medical vector, for now there are just over 200, but would grow to 1000 soon. I am looking to network with those who have healthcare, medical, science photo or illustrations.
Thank you for all your help along the way.

October 25, 2013 at 7:44 pm #6100Hi Alila – impressive stuff.
Until recently I was a practicing physician and like you, have a PhD in a life science. Now I have more time, I’ll be building my medical/healthcare stock photo portfolio, making use of the hoard of medical equipment/instruments that I’ve bought over the years.
So if you’re happy to gamble on that potential, please feel free to add me to your network.

October 25, 2013 at 7:55 pm #6101Alila took a look at your site – I’m not a suitable network partner for you but I was just interested to see your work and site.
I have two comments. One is that the way I react to the lengthy text you included about buying images on your other site is that I probably shouldn’t buy from your Symbiostock site! I can’t imagine that’s really what you want, so I’d suggest perhaps just including a link saying there are more images available.
I think if a buyer is confused about what to do, it’s possible they’ll just move on, so making things as straightforward and obvious as possible is a good thing. If they’ve seen what they like on your Symbiostock site, there seems no harm in buying it there. I did check the prices on the other site and there’s no difference beyond an additional size being available.
The other comment is about the vector pricing – I find it odd that the buyer can purchase the largest JPEG for the same price as a vector. There is so much more value in a vector file – the ability to blow it up large enough to put on the side of a building, change the colors of selected elements or use individual elements separately – that it seems you’re giving that away for no additional fee.
October 25, 2013 at 8:32 pm #6102Russel, thanks you, i will, i am so glad to see another scientist here.
jsnover, thanks for your comments, i definitely need to work more on those issues. The thing is i am not quite happy with my bluehost reliability and speed, so right now i only have about 20% of my port here and i will have to see how it goes for a while.
