Yes, I have problems. Is the first time I receive this post notification, that’s why I see late, I don’t receive even Forum notifications in the last time even I am subscrbed to all. I tried to do all you say, deactevated theme and SS Professional and email notifications, reactivated it and try to register. After clicking on register button I got first error “Register For This Site Error submitting form! Please make sure both javascript and cookies are enabled in your browser. Use the back button to try again…” which is a false message because I have javascript and cookies enabled in my browser. Than I click again the button, is registering me, but I receive only the notification like owner of ezeepics. That for the client not arrives.
Also I receive a strange message from my server at Bluehost:

In the last few days people have been mentioning that registration is a little funky for some people.
First, do these checks:
- Upgrade WordPress to the latest version.
- Upgrade ALL plugins.
- Turn the Symbiostock theme OFF
- Turn premium plugin OFF and remove the emailer plugin *important*
- Reactivate the theme, and the emailer plugin should be updated.
Did all the steps but still having the problem of wrong password in email. I tryed on diff. browsers with all test user deleted.
Wordpress: 3.9
SS: 3.3.4April 30, 2014 at 9:51 am #10928Hi Oliver, I did a test registration and yeah, you get the random created password even with a “correct” registration… I see that you use a Captcha plugin in at registration window. Did you try to turn this off and register without it, too? I just wonder if that could be involved, since we have the same WordPress and SYS versions. Cheers, David
April 30, 2014 at 9:56 am #10929I put down the Anti Captcha plugin and is the same for both of my sites. The registration is correct but I receive that random password which could not stay there. This is a serious problem, it passed some time since WordPress was updated and means in all this time we lost all our clients. This is not nice that we have to check the registration always.

Thanks, buddy. I try it now with deactivated captcha-plugin…
April 30, 2014 at 10:31 am #10926@mojod: As ezeepics mentioned, the captcha plugin is not the problem. SS is sending wrong password with deactivated plugin. 😥
April 30, 2014 at 10:37 am #10927This will be another cost, because I’ll have to ask developer to put hands inside and repair it. Not for food.ezeepics because he already fixed this problem once there and now he will make it gratis, but for stockphotos.ezeepics he has to fix it for the first time. And it will cost me 30 bucks. 🙁
April 30, 2014 at 11:04 am #10923Ezeepics, I have created a “naked” Symbiostock installation on a test server, where I can fool around.
If you want to, you can create a temporary admin accout and send me the login at info@vectorcat.com, so i can compare things like plugins, codes etc. I won’t touch anything, just have a look at the codes (but can’t promise anything…) DavidApril 30, 2014 at 11:16 am #10922Oliver, the email i got from your website with the registration details says only: “Username: Test David Password: pQUvHAazL9MN http://www.of-stockphotos.org/wp-login.php“, without any formating. Registration emails from my side (and others, that are working more or less) generate a nice formated email with logo etc. Maybe somehow this emailer thingy hasn’t updated properly. Just a written thought.

I’ll let you know when he will finish.
April 30, 2014 at 11:54 am #10954Just for stats sake. My site had the same problems as mentioned, but I resolved it using the steps mentioned. I can register, choose a password and log in afterwards.

April 30, 2014 at 1:19 pm #10955Hi Leo
I’ve just followed the steps again and my site behaves exactly in the way that MoJoD describes in his very full description.
In a nutshell:
User enters new and correct information – all is fine.
User enters an email that has been used before – the site goes to the default WordPress screen asking for corrected information. You do get logged in OK from that screen, but neither the chosen password or the emailed password works. You have the admin rights to my site from the previous work you did for me. Please check it if you like – there are two Test Customers in the User list that can be deleted.
Steve
PS – for most normal operations, the registration is working fine (and someone bought an image yesterday). It is the error handling that gets mixed up.
April 30, 2014 at 2:42 pm #10952My sites are working now. Is a php file my developer uploaded in /wp-includes/ folder. Now my sites are working. But I payed it 30 euro.
May 1, 2014 at 6:41 am #10939Great that you took the plunge — Would you consider offering the fix to others for a small fee? or donation?
May 1, 2014 at 9:30 am #10940@mojod: yeah, would like to do so many things on that site, but i’ve only very little time left. One ultra-necessary step BEFORE changing the email format and other things is to create a fully working child theme. That’s fucking science! I have a plugin installed (Child Themify) that create a child theme with one click, but afterwards my menu was gone. I have to manage that first.
I try the five-step solution today again. Maybe because of some random glitches my first approach wasn’t successful…
Thanks for your help and thoughts!
