So this morning I decided to create a test site for updates and changes, I have created a completely new WordPress site and uploaded the latest 2.8.1 theme, I have added no plugins, simply created a few image categories and menus, I then uploaded an image and still I’m not getting the large image on the image page or even the large image preview, something has be seriously wrong somewhere!!

October 16, 2013 at 3:04 pm #5158Looking into it a little further, I have looked via FTP and there is no image directory and if I create an image directory it still doesn’t create an image if I upload a new one???
October 16, 2013 at 4:00 pm #5165Your image directory needs to sit here
/www/wp-content/plupload/uploads
October 16, 2013 at 4:36 pm #5159Not sure I can do anything less….
1. Installed wordpress 3.6.1 through cpanel into a blank new directory.
2. Installed Symbiostock 2.8.1 theme and activated
3. Installed Child Theme 0.1.0 and activated
4. Setup Permalinks
5. Created Main Menu and setup to show at top of page, added link to Image Categories.
6. Created /plupload/uploads/ directory via ftp and uploaded 1 image, couldn’t upload through Image Uploader due to to error ‘You browser doesn’t have Flash, Silverlight, Gears, BrowserPlus or HTML5 support.’
7. Processed Image and added to a categoryAnd love and behold still no image!!!!!

October 16, 2013 at 6:56 pm #5160Are you sure you are uploading into the “/public_html/wp-content/plupload/uploads” folder? This is where SymbioStock is expecting to find the images via ftp.

October 16, 2013 at 8:35 pm #5161Now I’m confused!!!!!!
I have been meaning to register the MinkyMooMedia.co.uk with hosting to match MinkyMooMedia.com domain which I have just done, the .com is running version 2.8.1 of the theme, and the .co.uk is running version 2.6.5 of the theme, and still I am getting the same issue. the .co.uk domain is a fresh install and I know works correctly on the version 2.6.5 and has been working in the past!!
New .co.uk domain running older known working wordpress and theme

Not sure what to do next? Have been speaking with my Hosting provider but not really getting anywhere!
October 16, 2013 at 8:49 pm #5162Ok, if you go to http://minkymoomedia.co.uk/image/ the image is actually showing as a thumbnail so at some point it was processed. More than that unfortunately I don’t know.
Just a point that you may already understand but just in case it bears mentioning. You can run ONE site and point both the dot.com and dot.co.uk to the same site. If the content is the same then it is advisable to maintain on site with two links point to it.
IF you are already running one site with two domains then this is probably your problem. You may have somehow either running two versions mixed up or the old code in the child theme with the newer version and they are clashing.
If, of course, you want two distinct and different sites then that’s ok but you need to place them in separate folders if you use one hosting package 🙂

October 16, 2013 at 10:02 pm #5166Make sure the watermark is uploaded correctly to WP and make sure the link to the watermark is correct, otherwise you wont see image previes on the image page.
October 16, 2013 at 11:44 pm #5163Thanks for the info Jo, the plan was to redirect the .co.uk to the .com domain,
Good news, after lots of faffing around it looks like its the watermark that was the issue…

Great! I would have assumed it would default to the Symbio logo. I wouldn’t have thought of it 🙂
