Hey folks. I installed the “404 to 301” plugin to notify me whenever a visitor goes to a bad link and gets a 404 error, so I can fix it the first time it happens. So I’ve gotten these emails when I went to pages whose URLs I changed, and it works properly.

But while I’m tweaking a contact form on my site today (with the “Fast Secure Contact Form” plugin) I’ve gotten many of these:

    404 Path /error_page.gif/

Usually it’s the old URL in between those forward slashes but now it’s indicating this “error_page.gif” and I don’t know where that’s coming from; I haven’t seen any GIFs by that name or error pages.

    Any ideas?

The plugin probably references an image somewhere in it that doesn’t exist. This is very common and should likely be ignored. You could alternatively view source on the page that triggers that notification and you’ll probably see “error_page.gif” somewhere in it.
