Ok, I’m starting to get frustrated. Now on what is 5 or 6 days (I’ve lost count) and I am nowhere near being able to launch. Google has already indexed the domain in two days, I’ve got visitors, sign ups, and my site is looking like I don’t know what I’m doing. Which of course, obviously I don’t!
This was the main reason I just never signed up with Symbiostock in the first place. It’s trying my patience and I’m trying to stay positive here. I don’t want to say hey I shouldn’t have. I want to say I did and it was a success.
Some help would be most appreciated or I have to shut down the site and say good bye to the money I’ve invested and I can’t afford that either.
I get this error message on the image page for one…
Warning: Illegal string offset ‘added_price’ in /home7/stockyim/public_html/wp-content/plugins/ss-professional/functions.php on line 783
Secondly, I cannot manage to change my license on the images. Honestly with this nonsense I would have saved time and wasted bandwidth by just deleting everything and restarting. This is not a viable option to run a stock site as everyone would agree.
I’ve got the Premium plugin and running version 2.7.2. I bought the plugin so I COULD manage licenses but I can still do no such thing.
Can anyone tell me how to fix this? I don’t know anything about WordPress or Symbiostock. Leo? Anyone?

I wish i could help but i am still on 2.6.5. That was supposed the cool version, along with the premium plugin. But now there is a new version out, and things in the 2.6.5 version still dont work correctly. I havent even tried licenses yet because people who have, still have issues.
I have basically been focusing on uploading. I have had one sale in about 5 months, so spending any more time on trying to get things to work correctly just doesnt seem to make sense. I cant imagine upgrading to 2.7.2 at this point because it will break a lot of things i have spent hours on fixing already.
I understand your frustration but dont have any answers. I am trying to stay positive too but its pretty difficult.
I hope someone will check in and be able to help you.
Thanks. I don’t know much about the older version as I just decided to start with the new version. Overall it is great! Everything works well and it looks a lot better. The main problem I’m having is with the licensing. Either it’s a bug or something I’m doing wrong but without some tech support… these will be the same reasons why a really great platform dies through bad publicity.
Yes I know it’s free but the hosting isn’t and the Premium part cost me more than the hosting. I don’t have a problem with that. I do however have a mess on my hands and I keep seeing comments that Leo is going to take time off from the project. Well, that is not such a good idea when we are sitting with really hot potatoes.

October 8, 2013 at 6:44 pm #4074Don’t worry. Hating Symbiostock is a perfectly normal feeling. I hate it too and I’m the main developer!
Your mistaken though – I’m not going to take time off until the main upgrade is done, and the random issues such as this are completely done. So do not worry.
With that said your site is one of the better looking on the network, so don’t knock your progress. It appears your almost there.
Please send me an admin account (leo [ at ] symbiostock.com) so I can address those bugs you mention. Please list any others which have affected you and hopefully this will be it for you.

Don’t get me wrong! I don’t hate it! In fact I am really excited and I’m beginning to love it. What put me off starting earlier on was not having enough experience (plus I’m not wired for code other than HTML+CSS) and then getting stuck like now.
Then Google jumped the gun and listed the site quickly. It took me a day to finally come up with a winning dot.com and now I’m indexed LOL!
Essentially I have problems with changing the licenses on the existing files. I was going to test uploading a new file to check.
I also keep getting Royalty Free below the image no matter what license is attached!
I’ll email you shortly. Thanks!

Leo – is that error something we can fix ourselves or do we wait for the next release, we have been reporting it since just after the PPin came out ?http://kerioakimaging.com - trying to reopen

EDIT: Ok, I just updated a file with a “Standard” license and now it shows below the prices! 😀
EDIT 2: Then the price doubles! Eeek!
October 8, 2013 at 9:00 pm #4080Licences -they will know because they will choose and you have a page that will tell them ? Not sure I entirely understand the question, take a look at my site and see if it helps answer you. I have not set any RM as yet but probably will in due course when I work out the best way of doing it

Oh! You’ve hit the nail on the head I think. I thought it overwrote the previous value. I’m going to test it…
Ok, now I understand! So if I’m correct in my thinking, IF I do an Extended license then it basically is an add on to the normal price, the two (Standard & Extended licenses) are added together to produce the extended license.
If this is correct then that is what the confusion was about!
October 9, 2013 at 5:40 am #4083Yes that is correct. If you add zero in the standard licence it gets rid of the blue bar with the word Standard in it below the price area on the image page,

http://nail-art-at.kerioak.com - Art and Nail ArtOctober 9, 2013 at 7:51 am #4093This right here shows the danger in using 3rd party plugins and then thinking Symbiostock is the issue
People add all kinds of stuff, and when it goes tits up, they tell Leo to fix it.
I am sure I will get some slack for saying that, but its not the first time this happened.
The developers of 3rd party plugins need to support their products too, its not down to Leo to fix all issues.
October 9, 2013 at 10:32 am #4094I didnt blame anyone, I am just making an observation.
