Hello. Does anyone know if it is possible to create coupons for our Symbiostock sites? I would like to offer “thank-you” coupons to customers to encourage them to come back and get a discount on their next purchase. Among other coupons….

    Thanks!!

I hope someone knows a way to do this. As far as I know there is currently no way out of the box to achieve this. I’d also like to be able to make use of vouchers as rewards on more purchases.

I did this in my first year with my KTools site, and most people did not use them. I tried several different gimmicks like this to get people to buy more or come back more, and I don’t think any of it worked. People just buy what they need when they need it.

similar experience – I sell maps & classics illustrated comics on ebay and tested various types of coupons – 10-20% off on next purchase, buy one get 1 free, etc and there was minimal response

a simple way to do coupons though would be to modify your paypal thank-you response page. if you don’t want to offer the same coupon to all buyers you could just make the appropriate offer by email after the sale

Thanks for the replies. Your experiences make a lot of sense. I’m not going to worry about coupons and special offers. THANKS!!

One other approach I was going to try would be an immediate rebate of x% on purchases over $X

I think that is an even better idea. Strike while the purse strings are opening!
