I just wanted to let everyone know Clean Theme ( http://www.symbiothemes.com/cleantheme/ ) is being updated for the latest version of Symbiostock since its getting closer to “stable”.
DO NOT simply install the latest version of Symbiostock over the present (older) cleantheme. It will make you cry.
It will be out eventually, but I just wanted to mention changes are in the works so Clean Theme users are not left behind.

Hooray!! And thank you, Leo, for adding this extra project to your already-overloaded workload.
Please know that I appreciate what you do very much, and I’m not alone.

It depends what you have done to it and if you have made lots of modifications
If it does not do what you expected then make a copy and save
Delete contents of original within the theme
Add things backp one at a time to see what works and what does notFirst I would leave child theme turned off until you see what is available within 2.7.* as many things can be edited within it

I haven’t done anything, if what you mean is messed with CSS.
I’ve used some widgets and plugins to get where I’m at. Pretty plain and basic – yet it works. Not actually looking forward to learning 2.7.* and not having my site functional for a few days while I sort it out.

http://www.softlightstock.comOctober 13, 2013 at 1:02 pm #4503Steve, you can get around that by setting up a test site – if your host permits it set up a sub-domain and load wordpress and symbiostock onto that, then if you wish to make any changes you can try them out/learn how everything works before you do it for real = just don’t link it to the network unless it is other test sites.
If you have not made (m)any modifications then there is no reason why your site should be out of action at all

I actually knew you were going to say this and my initial response addressed it but I left it out –
Clueless
I have Bluehost – I know it’s possible
I clicked the Add Subdomain button – Added one – But really don’t know what to do from there
All it seemed to do was add a folder in my file manager in a place I didn’t expect it. So, hesitant to do anything more there.Actually I won’t go any further down that rabbit hole.
Like I said my site works – But I’m afraid not upgrading to the latest version will leave me out in the cold at some point.
Will 2.6.5 become obsolete or stop working because of other things like changes to WordPress, PHP or whatever….
Leo won’t be updating all versions.I know it’s inevitable I will have to upgrade – just not looking forward to it – may not look like it but I have quite a bit of time into this
and need more reassurance and proof I’m not going to screw everything up by upgrading.Steve
http://www.softlightstock.comOctober 13, 2013 at 2:14 pm #4505I know what you mean Steve – I had just got my 2.6.5 site exactly how I want it and was looking forward to getting the fixes so nothing more had to be done for a long time. Now that is not going to happen and at some point will have to upgrade but keep finding reasons not to do so, mostly cosmetic. I think if you have not made any major css changes you should be okay.

http://nail-art-at.kerioak.com - Art and Nail ArtOctober 13, 2013 at 2:19 pm #4506Steve, I’m pretty much right there with you. I have limited time to get back up an running so I’m concerned about breaking something I don’t have time to fix right now. I also have limited coding knowledge. I’ve managed to follow direction from others on a few basic things but I’m not at a level where I can figure things out on my own.
I had a dormant domain and tried to add a subdomain to that but I ran into a problem and rather than sort it out I decided to use my dormant domain as a test site.
I loaded in 2.7.7 and the Symbiostock pro upgrade and site-map option. Over the next week or two I’ll be playing with it to get it in working order. I’m planning to make notes so I have a step-by-step for myself when I transition things to my active site. I’ll see if I can create a document for others to follow that will get the basics in place when they upgrade so it goes smoothly.
October 13, 2013 at 2:37 pm #4508If you havent made any changes to the out of the box 2.6.5 version, an upgrade to 2.7.7 is not going to break or wipe anything.
