If I upload a jpeg file the plugin works great, but when I upload eps files nothing is the media is generated but there are no thumbnails with watermarks. I’ve checked with symbiostock and they say that their plugin is working fine that it’s
” your Imagick install is not working in a standard way. You are running the same exact version of Symbiostock that is running on the PLUS servers and they are parsing EPS’s fine:”
When I checked with the server host. They said this- “<span id=”yiv1526726418yui_3_16_0_1_1445607374803_4855″ style=”color: #cd232c;”>The is the most recent error I’m seeing in the logs that pertains to that plugin:<br id=”yiv1526726418yui_3_16_0_1_1445607374803_4724″ class=”yiv1526726418″ />[21-Oct-2015 20:12:34 UTC] PHP Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home1/skybache/public_html/wp-content/plugins/symbiostock/tools-ftp.php on line 238</span>
Appreciate anyone who could help me get it working.

January 1, 2016 at 7:58 am #25212Hey ana,
Okay, I did some testing on your server. Couple of things:
1) Firstly, you don’t have shell_exec access on your server so our more powerful metadata reading software cannot be used. This has nothing to do with the issues with your media, however.
2) I downloaded one of your EPS files and tried it on one of our test servers – it provided the same error on our servers as it did yours:
Error: /syntaxerror in -file- Operand stack: Execution stack: %interp_exit .runexec2 –nostringval– –nostringval– –nostringval– 2 %stopped_push –nostringval– –nostringval– –nostringval– false 1 %stopped_push 1862 1 3 %oparray_pop 1861 1 3 %oparray_pop –nostringval– 1845 1 3 %oparray_pop 1739 1 3 %oparray_pop –nostringval– %errorexec_pop .runexec2 –nostringval– –nostringval– –nostringval– 2 %stopped_push Dictionary stack: –dict:1156/1684(ro)(G)– –dict:1/20(G)– –dict:90/200(L)– Current allocation mode is local Last OS error: 2 Current file position is 1709571 Error: /syntaxerror in -file- Operand stack: Execution stack: %interp_exit .runexec2 –nostringval– –nostringval– –nostringval– 2 %stopped_push –nostringval– –nostringval– –nostringval– false 1 %stopped_push 1862 1 3 %oparray_pop 1861 1 3 %oparray_pop –nostringval– 1845 1 3 %oparray_pop 1739 1 3 %oparray_pop –nostringval– %errorexec_pop .runexec2 –nostringval– –nostringval– –nostringval– 2 %stopped_push Dictionary stack: –dict:1156/1684(ro)(G)– –dict:1/20(G)– –dict:90/200(L)– Current allocation mode is local Last OS error: 2 Current file position is 1709571
This means that there is something wrong with your EPS file which makes Imagick unable to process it.
3) I uploaded a sample EPS which processed fine on your server, although it did take some time.
Finally, based on my research, EPS files do not reliably store metadata – if you do store them, it may make the file unreadable by other pieces of software. It is possible that this is what is causing the issue we are seeing, although I’m not sure.
I have never encountered this issue before, and it is specific to your EPS files. You may have to do some testing to get them working with Imagick – try saving them without metadata, or saving with an sRGB color profile, etc. Test different methods until you get one that works. If you need any other help, let me know. If you discover the solution, please share it for future users.
Thanks.
January 2, 2016 at 2:09 am #25217Hi Robin!!! happy new year!! i made some test uploading more vectors, without deleting any metadata, now i see the eps preview, but the colors are not the same, colors are dark 🙁 then i replace the dark color preview with a correct color preview but when i did this i lost the watermark. What i have to do to have the watermark in my new previews again???
Thankyou for your help!!!
January 2, 2016 at 6:09 am #25221Hi ana – glad to see you’re able to get it working to some degree.
In order to fix the thumbnails, don’t replace them using WordPress – scroll down when you edit the product and look for the field that says ‘upload alternate jpeg’. Upload a FULL sized version of your EPS there – then Symbiostock will use that for all thumbnailing, and also sell that image to customers when a JPEG is purchased.
And happy new year to you too!
January 2, 2016 at 6:15 am #25223Great Robin, i will try it…
question, how many illustrations i need to upload to have my portfolio on Symbiostok library? i want be part of Symzio too! what i have to do???
January 2, 2016 at 7:05 am #25226Hey Ana,
I took a look at your site and you have some beautiful illustrations – when you submit your application, just make sure you have at least 100 and your site is relatively finished as per your wishes. If you have your images on any other agencies, share those URLs in the application too.
Thanks, and I’m really glad you’re on board with us!
January 2, 2016 at 8:44 am #25230Thankyou Robin!!! i´m working on it 🙂

Looks great! Everything is up and running now. All you need to do is work on your site, promote both yourself and Symzio, and keep creating great new images.
Welcome!
