Hi guys, not sure if this has been addressed, or if it will ever be fixed. But for as long as I know this has never worked properly.
First of all showing all images doesnt work. I am now typing a space and then hit search, It seems to bring up all images. 96 per page, and then the amount of pages.
But when I click on the page number, it just doesnt go anywhere, when I open the link in a new tab I get to see a page with a bunch of code.

When I hoover over page 2 number I see this http://semmickphoto.com/page/2/?s&post_type=image&symbiostock_network_search=true&ipp=96
But clicking doesnt work. Not in Chrome and not in Firefox.
So I can never edit any image past 96. I need to edit ALL images at once, but I just cant get it sorted. I am hoping this will be fixed, but with Leo gone, I am not sure who and when.
Anyway, just wanted to report it.
Another bug is that when I do search for a keyword in the batch editor, it displays all images randomly instead of new to old. Which also prevents me from batch editing.
I really need a way to easily batch edit images, this is not working.
Hmm, it seems to work for me (on my site) in Firefox. What happen when you, as a workaround, increase the max number of results per page that you get only one page? It might take a few seconds for results to show but this also works for me.
The links will only work vor admins of your site

I have tried to use a few main categories for all my images such as animals, food, nature, people objects and then edit by category instead of all at once
I am gradually getting categories sorted out so it just eeds a few attempts instead of lots

But I dont want to use categories, I just want to pull up all images, starting from new to old. And I want to be able to click on a page and then see the next page. Its not working. I dont know how to get all images to show in the batch editor and edit them all.
I need to use all kinds of workarounds and still am not able to do what i want to do.
I have a category “all photos”. It gets sorted new to old in the batch editor. Maybe this would help you as a workaround?

I did that right at the beginning and then for some reason deleted it, I might reinstate it.
Probably still will not help Ron as he wants to do them all at once and not one page at a time

So I am in a vicious circle. There is no way for me to edit all images, so the workarounds suggested dont work for me.
I can get all images to show by searching using a space, but then the pages dont work.
When I choose a category the images do show up in chronoclogical order. Its when I use a keyword search they show up random, which is not helping me either.
I think the batch editor needs some work, but I am afraid that is not going to happen.
In the meantime I am stuck.
Try using All Images, Bulk editor to edit the categories, again you will need to do a page at a time but it might help?

I just did as you said and created a new category All Images, went to the standard editor, put screen options on 300 and edited 6 pages, added all images to All Categories, went to batch editor and was able to select all images at once. Also in chronological order.
From now on editing will be a jiffy.
However, I still feel the batch editor needs a bit of fine tuning.

I second that one. Glad, though, that the workaround does it for you, now. 😀
the batch editor search defaults to 48 — change that to a large number & all images appear on the page; click on the number to the right of the search button to select/deselect all

Nope, doesnt work when using a space to search, It defaults to 96, unless I disable the Genetics Lab and then I get more images. But still clicking page two doesnt work.

I would LOVE to be able to batch edit all my images at once, Ron, so I tried following your steps.
OK in creating a new All Images category. But from there you lost me. Sorry to be dense! 🙁
Can you explain about “the standard editor” where you “put screen options on 300…” ? Where is the standard editor? How do you “put screen options” on images there?

it may be the space is confusing it — does it work as expected if you use a common keyword?
I’ve not run into this since I’m usually editing 300-500 at a time using keywords like ‘india’ or ‘food’
looks like it needs a ‘search all’ function added
