I had this working at one point.  I had created two attributes for my media: Photos and HD Video.  This allowed me to assign my media according to their appropriate media type inside the Bulk Edit panel.  This in turn allowed me to set up a search box where visitors to the site could check a radio box and choose to see: All Media, HD Video or Photos.  This was accomplished with a plugin called “Search and Filter.

I had it working great but at some point the Attributes no longer showed up in bulk edit, and i have no way to assign new uploaded media their appropriate Attribute.  Perhaps this got lost in the latest update to Symbiostock?  How can I get attributes to show up in Bulk Edit?

    Thanks

Hey there – that part of WordPress is managed by WordPress and WooCommerce (mostly). Symbiostock does not manipulate the attributes part of the bulk edit. I’m guessing it is WooCommerce as they altered the way attributes work in 2.5.

Hmmm, that must have been what happened.  I have updated WP and WooCommerece.  I see that the bulk edit still includes Some very specific Symbiostock and Symzio options.  Is there a way that I can add attributes back into bulk edit with some code?

Attributes are super complex – one of the central parts of Symbiostock’s engine is to remain parallel with WooCommerce with regards to attributes so it does not break. There’s that – then there’s the fact that the bulk edit and quick edit screens are also highly complex.

This is something I would not touch with a ten foot pole. However, there may be plugins that exist to assist in this regard. You can even probably search to see if someone has mentioned it. One final thing to examine is the top right corner where it allows you to determine the view – maybe the attributes section is unchecked or something which is preventing it from showing.
