I’ve finally set up Symbiostock for translation. This was done for Lucato! 😀
Get it here: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/afnq19hfpeb097k/iJwver1wna
The languages folder now has a .po file for translation in the languages folder, found at top level of your theme.
You can use Poedit (http://www.poedit.net/download.php) to translate each term to a respective language.
More here: http://codex.wordpress.org/Translating_WordPress
I’m still quite new to this subject, and will be adding some more on the subject a bit later after I get some answers from other sources. In the meantime: Lucato is your friend!!! 😛
I’m releasing this as a testing version because I made SO many text changes, I must ensure that nothing got *ahem* lost in translation (or broken!) due to the amount of changes I had to make. NOTE: I didn’t change any functionality — I’m just ensuring that things are safe before I publicly release it.January 13, 2014 at 3:17 pm #8384Awesome! Have to check it out! 🙂
January 13, 2014 at 7:32 pm #8385Where have I to place the new created default.po – file do I have to rename it?
January 13, 2014 at 11:10 pm #8386After you’ve edited it, you can place it in the languages folder, over-writing the previous.
January 13, 2014 at 11:19 pm #8387Also this is a system I’m setting right now.
January 14, 2014 at 7:22 am #8388I did replace the po-file in the language-folder in the symbiostock-theme but it didn’t change anything. I also set the language from my site in the wp-config from en-EN to de-DE (I created a German translation therefore de-DE for German language). What do I miss?
January 14, 2014 at 8:24 pm #8389There are instructions on how to install this? I don’t understand much.
January 14, 2014 at 8:33 pm #8390I was wrong: The “.po” file is for your use, the ‘.mo’ file is what WP uses.
Here is a depthy answer: http://wordpress.stackexchange.com/questions/57219/how-to-translate-a-plugin-via-po-mo
I’m right now getting it to work, and Lucato is making Symbio’s first translation, so I’m learning a few things too.
Once I’m through the heavier stuff of this process I’ll be setting up a translation forum.

I’d appreciate it, I need Italian translation for my sites. Great work Leo.
January 15, 2014 at 6:00 pm #8392Thanks Leo for the reply
I followed the instructions on: http://wordpress.stackexchange.com
But it still doesn’t work for me hopefully lucato chimes in. -
