I have a few people waiting on me to catch up on their sites.
It was on my agenda today to take care of some minor bugs and catch up some sites, but my production computer has finally died. I managed to stave off ruin by doing a dual-boot with Ubuntu beside windows, but eventually it finally died. So today I’m doing a complete re-install after wasting 14 hours on a dead-end road of OS bug fixing.
This means I’ve finally had to get rid of Adobe dependence! I deactivated CS5, and will be switching over to Gimp and Inkscape…
Looks like like has gone 100% open source by necessity! Goodbye windows.
Hopefully tomorrow I can get back in action after setting up Eclipse and a local server. Thanks for waiting.
October 18, 2013 at 10:08 am #5359Sorry to hear about your computer problems – windows just does not seem to like you does it.
At least you now have one less site to catch up on as I think mine is more or less okay now – just got to work out this wordpress/php/disappearing category/category menu limitation bug (I think that is what it is)
Hope your computer comes back full of beans and raring to go – even if you are exhausted – take care.

Been there, done that… lost a lot more than time. :-/ Switched to Mac which has proven a lot more stable for me. I’m not ready to make the leap to full open-source… but Windows had to go.

I am running PS CS4 perfectly on Ubuntu 13.04 64bits with Wine, or better said PlayOnLinux.
There may be no need to dump CS5!October 18, 2013 at 4:37 pm #5366 -
