We plan to host the website with the thumbnails on https://www.digitalocean.com/. The high res images will be on https://www.backblaze.com/
When a client buys an image Symbiostock will have to grab the high res image from Backblaze.
My question is if this will be possible?It is possible if you are able to create a folder on your Digital Ocean server that points to BackBlaze (a virtual directory). How this is accomplished, you will have to research and/or contact the companies to determine, but it is possible.
Is it possible to make the “ss_media”, “new” and “temp” folders of the virtual directories pointing to the respective “ss_media”, “new” and “temp” hosted on another website? Would it work this way?
Yes, but again, this is a system related question – you would need to do this at the operating system level.
