I noticed a few of you have little pixel-squares for scanning on your sites? What are those for? I don’t keep up with that.
If you scan them with your phone they take you direct to the site – they are useful in advertising on magazines, business cards etc. I have one for my janchristie site but cannot remember what they are called 🙂

If you mean my home page banner then thats a QR code. Just scan it with your smartphone and see what happens. You need a QR reader though. But its pretty neat.
You can create your own very easily.

You and I both must be slow, Redneck. 🙂 Reading this thread, I kept wondering the same thing.
If the point is to get people to your website, how does putting it on your website accomplish anything? Explanation, please!
1. it is in his banner; maybe that is his logo on businesscards too?
2. when people have the QR in their phone (taken from the screen) they can always find the site with it without remembering the name
@leo: QR’s are also used at touristic sites or monuments, they give you extra information
