did you have before you decided to go live?
More important than amount of images to begin with is how many you add every day, so the site is “fresh” in google’s eyes. Thats why we got the feature to process X number of images per day added to Symbiostock a while back. So as Chrisroll said, go live when the site is professional looking, and then add a steady stream of images every day.
Thats the strategy I have taken and after some time I now have over 2,500 images online and counting.
