Finally getting around to putting the final touches on my Symbiostock Co-op site. However, when I try to upload an image I get an error message that the File cannot be found…possibly due to incorrect file naming, or something like that. I use an alphanumberic file naming system in Lightroom and have never had problems uploading anywhere else. For example, I’m trying to upload a file named MLW-1797.jpeg…
Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
May 17, 2014 at 1:47 pm #11263Hi and Welcome to Symbiostock.
Try taking out the hyphen and see if that works. It does not seem to like symbols of any kind so ? ” accents, dipthongs etc will all upset it.

http://nail-art-at.kerioak.com - Art and Nail ArtMay 17, 2014 at 2:17 pm #11264I just tried two other files with the same file numbering/naming scheme. One got uploaded the other did not. In looking at the 3 files it appears that it may be a matter of file size as the one that made it through was 3 MB and the two that did not were both around 15 MB. I think I read somewhere that anything over 10 MB could be problematic?? Kind of defeats the purpose of using a D800 if that’s true…..
May 17, 2014 at 3:28 pm #11265You need to go into your PHP.ini file and increase the Max File Size. I’m on Bluehost and they pointed me to an easy tutorial explaining how to do it. Others have reported that the Bluehost tech changed it for them. In any event, try contacting your host support team to ask about increasing the max file size.
There have been some posts on how to do it – don’t remember if it’s here or on MSG. If I can find them I will edit and add to this post.
This one might help explain it:

Being part of the Symbiostock Co-op I’m not even sure who is hosting the site. I’ll read through the info you’ve linked to and see if I can figure things out. If not, I’ll wait until Steve gets back.
May 18, 2014 at 10:38 am #11267I *think* he uses Justhost which is very similar to Bluehost (same company different name).
If you have cPanel access you will be able to do it, otherwise you will need to wait for Steve although I would have thought it would use the same php.ini for everyone?
