Hello artists,
I’m here because totally newbie about wordpress and Symbiostock and so i following the guide to set up my website
http://www.symbioguides.com/getting-started/
It’s very simply but unfortunately I have some problem with the menu.I would like to create the drop menu with image categories but unfortunately it doesn’t work, the menu doesn’t appears in my homepage.
I don’t understand what I’m doing wrong, in the guide there is a different version of wordpress admin page, has some differences, however I try to do.I go to appearance/menu
open screen options and check “image categories”
I create a new menu and call it Main Menu. In the left side on pages I click on view all and add to menu the “Home” and “image categories” later I go to “image categories” and I add to my menu all categories to my menu.
In the menu structure move all the categories a little bit on right side under the “image categories”.
In the menu setting I choose theme location-header menu and save all.
After I go to the manage location and assign to Header menu the Main menu, and save changes.I refresh my symbiostock site, http://www.bepsimages.com, but the menu is invisible 🙂
Can you help me?
Thank you very muchHere can you see the video of my admin panel.

Admin Area -> Appearance -> Menus -> [Tab] Manage Locations
March 5, 2014 at 5:00 pm #10194The same thing I told you about in email. Check there, in Manage Locations. But keep in mind that, in your case the Categories menu can stay only in Header because you are not using a template with Sidebar. Or you choose a page with Sidebar or you use a Plugin to create Menu Widgets which you can place everywhere on your site.
You have alrready a menu in Header Menu, you cannot put the categories there too. You have to choose, or the menu you have now, or the categories. WP have limitations, use widgets.March 6, 2014 at 8:31 am #10195Thanks redneck and ezeepics.
@redneck – Yes I assign the location.
If I assign my menu to header menu It doesn’t work
The menu work only if I assign my menu to Account/Cart Menu.
Unfortunately in this case the categories that I add are all visible@ezeepics – ok, Today I will test 🙂
What’s widjet you are using for image categories?March 6, 2014 at 8:39 am #10196You need your account/Cart menu but can also have a second one.
Depending , I think. which child theme you are using you can have one at the very top of the page and one below your header
Have you set them in
Appearance, Customise, Navigation ?
