The cache files are at about 1000 megabytes! But each page loads very fast. Browse through the pages and let me know your experience.
Caching can be a little high-maintenance, but perhaps the community is due for a nice lengthy caching / spam control tutorial?
I’d love to see Symbiostock sites all running this fast…its refreshing really. I’ve learned a hard lesson not to compare sales, but since I’ve employed this I find mysales have gone up in the last week (probably because customers don’t need to be patient)
Without caching, as you know, the page-crunch can be pretty slow.
Please let me know if everyone is feeling “ready” for this tricky step or not.
February 14, 2014 at 10:11 am #9648I am ready. I have WP super cache plugin activated. All its options are kind of confusing to say the least. I am sure I am missing quite a lot and would be interested in a lesson or two 😀
February 14, 2014 at 10:20 am #9649I also have WP supercache activated but very little idea what to do with it other than activated.
Yes, your site does load fast – mine varies considerably for me.

Without these things my site undergoes melt-down due to spammers ( get hundreds of them an hour brute-forcing my site)
February 14, 2014 at 10:31 am #9651I quite often find WordFence is temporarily blocking someone who is trying to access my site too often, if I happen to notice and don’t like the look of them I permanently block them but have to check first as sometimes it is from Cascoly’s links

http://nail-art-at.kerioak.com - Art and Nail ArtFebruary 14, 2014 at 10:54 am #9652I am ready. It’s very important for a positive customer experience, I think. I haven’t done it yet, because of the difficulties I’ve read about … so I would be very happy about a tutorial 🙂
February 14, 2014 at 12:38 pm #9654February 15, 2014 at 3:34 am #9655I’ll give it a shot. I’ve been bothered by slow loads on my site.
February 15, 2014 at 3:59 am #9656Very happy to see a positive response. The tutorials will be out tonight! Thanks a lot guys. Its quite refreshing to see a happy response on something like this.

February 15, 2014 at 12:31 pm #9657Hi Leo, thanks for the tutorial – I dumped BB a long time ago as it stopped Paypal, now I know why 🙂
I am in the process of installing Bad Behaviour
Am I right to add
Paypal.co.uk as well as paypal.com as I use the UK versionWill
66.211.170.66

http://nail-art-at.kerioak.com - Art and Nail ArtFebruary 16, 2014 at 8:42 am #9658Good question, Christine. I installed Bad Behavior yesterday and the whitelist suggested by Leo doesn’t work for me.
I’m using paypal.com/de and just received a mail from Paypal telling me that Insant Payment Notifications are not possible for:So for now I have deactivated Bad Behavior and reactivated Anti Captcha.
February 16, 2014 at 9:15 am #9659Don’t give up! This is very important. 😛
I found this for you guys, and I’ll update the tutorial:
IP addresses for PayPal servers
https://ppmts.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/92February 16, 2014 at 9:38 am #9660I did not understand the link to PP at all so did a trial purchase instead – it worked
I do not know whether I needed paypal.co.uk as well as paypal.com although it seemed logical at the time, but now I know it works with both I am not touching it again 🙂

http://nail-art-at.kerioak.com - Art and Nail ArtFebruary 24, 2014 at 6:55 am #9661Thanks for the lesson. Great to learn something new and put it right to use.
I have completed the installation. Hope I followed the instructions correctly.
sweetCaptcha has already stopped 8 spammer. So far I have not had a new client try to sign on so I don’t know if that part is working. I will have to setup a test user.
WP Super cache is setup and has cycled thru the preload of the cache. Seems to have improved page loads by 50% or more, but that is just a guess. Are there stats collected anywhere that we can track page load times?
Thanks!
